It would sure be cool... Vail doesn't do anything hardcore, except occasionally doing things for the camera she would do anyhow. Still, a few shoots with both of you in them would be amazing... :D

Flying here isn't as expensive as you might think... Plus, if you hook up with us, you don't have to worry about a hotel etc. when you are in town... so you could make a vacation in England a lot more affordable. We always wish more cool friends would come visit, but the ocean seems so Huge...

If we can't convince you, we will have to try to make it to NYC some time... Maybe next summer... I have a few sights I would like to see in the Apple anyhow... like the MacWorld Expo (big Mac geek here, hi)... Have only been to NYC once in my life, turns out I like it.

Of course, I gotta plug getting you over here... Castles, old graveyards, history...

I got scared away from Mac back in 97 when i saw an ad for a 4K mac that didnt include a monitor or a keyboard. I was like, wtf, at least throw in a keyboard for 4K.

4k macs are not consumer level.

You can afford $500 programs (Adobe) but you cant run the software on a machine that costs 4k? I have 3k programs dude.

Hardware is what you pay for, and the main reason a dual g4 costs what it does... its not consumer level. Nor is the price.

My buddy has an Avid system which is basically a Macintosh dual g with AVID video software and other shit, the whole system came to 40k, you gonna tell me or him he paid too much?

He edits film and makes thousands of bucks a project, the 40k was in investment.

Most people buy computers to surf the internet, sure get a pc, you wanna sit around and play solitaire, get a pc.

In every recording studio I have ever been in the audio is done on Mac, 90+% of your games are made on a mac, and for sure 99.99% of all CD covers are done on a mac... and those guys all paid 4k a machine, ask yourself why?

My friend just came home with a Macintosh monitor that costs over 1k, he has 2 of them, dual 21inch monitors, ask yourself why? because he can, and its fucking nice.

Some people like better things man, its really just a machine.

I used to hate picking up software that i wanted & finding out it was for a MAC back in the day. I was a little kid & i would end up buying MAC shit get home all pissed off.

Im glad most of the ALL- MAC software is gone now from the stores like BestBuy & shit

But yea if i was a designer or a movie/film editor i'd buy a fucking MAC, they are badass for all types of media

There was a reason why the high-end systems didn't come with a keyboard back then...

Apple did not sell third party stuff with their systems. All printers, monitors, etc. were Apple products. They had gotten some complaints about their keyboard from professional types, who would be buying the top of the line systems-- basically, all those people were buying Pro keyboards from third parties. So they stopped wasting everyone's money by including a keyboard that wasn't being used-- until they came out with a good Pro keyboard again. Any questions?
