I don't really understand this tread, the situation is well known. Make a blog, draw lots of traffic for your affiliates, have people post copyrighted stuff and claim you have no part in that deal.

It takes only one real infringement lawsuit and only one blog owner or free server provider do some jail time and the whole system is going to fall within weeks.

Rapidshare is based in Germany, the legals situation there does not really support what they are doing. I bet that a decent entertainment lawyer could get them shut down in a heartbeat and have their president do a nice 18 months in prison, not for infringement in this case, but for distribution of pronography.

Here is my solution: Everyone who complains here puts 100 bucks in an account, we form a corporation that represent webmaster's interests, we retain a top notch attorney with an international law firm ,and kick ass. One time.

Yep, which is exactly what I was saying. They broker ads for rapidshare.de, which is commonly used for sharing copyrighted material.

Does anybody know what server providers rapidshare uses, or are they using their own? Even if they must have a line with Telkom, the conservative partially government owned german telephone company. Plus, they seem to be located in arch-conservative, republican dominated, catholic Suebia. Not a good place to stand an obscenity lawsuit. Why not take them down? Think about it.

rapidshare.de is used for sharing copyrighted material. Netpondads brokers ads for rapidshare.de. If you want to sue me, then go ahead. YOU HAVE NO CASE. Why is rapidshare.de than your #1 spot on your sales page (By Adds) on NetpondAds?? Somehow this does not make any sense when you claim you don't allow to show adds, but the first spot is Rapidshare.de under ALL Websites you offer Adds.

Actually, me and Aga only crossed paths briefly and unfortunately I don't think that happened in the most positive manner. Nevertheless, if he pulls the plug on rapidshare.de, he has my respect.

Hey, I am in if someone wants to act but I won't do it by myself. We should think about forming an interest group. It pisses me off too that people steal my stuff and seem to get away with it, but I just don't feel like taking on the world all by myself.

I think that all that needs to be done is for someone to send the right e-mail to the right people and rapidshare.de should be no more. Maybe they won't get thrown in jail, but the site as such will be gone, which is a good step forward.
