That's a hard toss.

I've owned both Audi and (curretly) BMW although not the RS4 or M3.

There were things I really loved about the Audi and in some ways it out performed the BMW. But all in all, BMW is the better choice. That's why I now have two.

I really enjoyed my Audi S4 when I had it. I love the amenties of my new Infiniti M45 Sport but the Audi beat it hands down with power and handling.

I voted Audi, but thats coz I'm buying one early next year.

In total truth, I'd say it depends. I'd take a BMW Z4 over an Audi TT any day. I'd also take the X5 over the Q7. But I'd go for the RS4 Cabriolet over the M3 now. I love M3, it was the car I was gonna buy. Now tho I just really can't see past the RS4 Cabriolet!

What about in general, not just the above models ?.

It seems to me everything is extra, the basic spec isn't good enough on standard models for either manufacturer.

The thing you get included is the air inside the car, apart from that everything else is at an extra cost.

I was going to get a bmw 520d se for £28k with everything i wanted , it would have come to around £32k.

My vote went for audi though, forgetting the RS4 i like the A4 and A6 models.

The reason I want the Audi S4 Cabriolet is this:

In Scotland, if you drive a BMW cabriolet you get the boy races driving up behind you wanting to race and so on. You don't attract that kind of attention in an Audi Cabriolet. It looks a bit more classy nowadays than a bmw does in my opinion.

It does in the UK yeah.

However i'd like those boy racers TRYING to have a go.

Over the years,I've always preferred BMW.They use a little less plastic in them.I think BMW has paid closer attention to details than Audi has.
Up until Bangle screwed it all up.

So now I drive Mercedes. The nice thing about them,is that no one ever bothers to want to race me in the E55amg.It was constant in the M3.

Hard to compare, since the M3 is a pretty old model and RS4 is brand new. When the new M3 comes out next year, RS4 won't have any chance against it.
