Its Friday, so we need a "post your ride" topic

Cant start the weekend without seeing some old and new cars.

My work and daily drive car in the front, and the car in the back is for my danish online streetrace project. I know a old Volvo 240 isent a regular streetrace car, but that is the whole idea behind it. Take something noone belives in, and make it happend

Bought this Toyota HJ60 2 days ago - for almost nothing. Will be rebuild as a project during the winter and be features as a event on another new site ( www.offroadspareparts.com ). Will be fitted with OME suspention, and 32 bodylift kit. Same wheels and airlock as on the Nissan Patrol we did last year ( pic )

I don't usually buy new cars. The Volvo V70 is about the newest car I have ever bought really. There is a 180% tax on cars in Denmark, which might explain this a little. That is also the reason my main company is registered and resides in Sweden ( no tax on cars )

Post your cars guys and girls...

Before everyone starts posting their ferraris I'll plug my 1980 Jeep CJ7... 6" lift, 33" mud terrains, no roof and no doors. Great for running over psycho costa rican taxi drivers.

I'm rebuilding the Pajero's transmission and suspension. It shows it have been running for 320k+ kilometers now, so a little tuneup as called for to say the least

No doubt the evo is fast.I bought the one I had because of it's reputation. It was a faster than the 03' M3 I was driving at the time.It was faster than my 911 carrera too.The TT and the Lambo would roast it,but at 4 and 5 times the price. My main knock against it was that it handled to lightly for my tastes.Once you get used to driving German cars for a long time, everything else feels strange.

You feel the Evo handled lightly? I have a 350Z and a 5 series BMW and I feel the handling in the Z is much more responsive. Maybe it was just the Mitsu's? As always, I love seeing your collection Minte.

I never felt confident powering hard through a corner with the Mits. The wheels and tires were really to small,it needs something serious..like S0'2.The few times I drove it hard in the country it would powerslide through the corners. It's like learning to drive a 911...it's a process that takes a real commitment and I wasn't that interested in learning to drive it fast.I use the MiniS on the track...for what I like to do,it's perfect.

I've never driven a Mits so I guess I can't relate. I just thought it was a comparison you made between all japanese and all german cars. The center of gravity and tire size on the Z is pretty solid and I've taken it through some nice turns at high speeds with no probs at all. Of course I've never had a prob with the 5 series, but I'd trust the Z a bit more in those conditions if it came down to it.

I was thinking of a Mini for my wife in the past... It felt like a fun car to drive. Maybe down the road. I just hated the ordering process and the dealers were all assholes.
