I've never driven a Mits so I guess I can't relate. I just thought it was a comparison you made between all japanese and all german cars. The center of gravity and tire size on the Z is pretty solid and I've taken it through some nice turns at high speeds with no probs at all. Of course I've never had a prob with the 5 series, but I'd trust the Z a bit more in those conditions if it came down to it.
I was thinking of a Mini for my wife in the past... It felt like a fun car to drive. Maybe down the road. I just hated the ordering process and the dealers were all assholes.
