Hiya Epoch
when I talked to your sales she told me the reseller code is put in a cookie permanantly that to me meant 1 year but now your documentation says it's set for 1 (ONE) hour only? Your tech support tells me that couldn't be changed unless the director says so.. YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.. sure it maybe good for me as a paysite owner.. but as a reseller I would NEVER promote any epoch site knowing that they set cookies for just 1 hour. In adult business it's not uncommon for a surfer to come back even few months later to sign-up, as a reseller I would want to get credit for that sale. I hope you guys change that soon or I'll be looking for another processor.
That said, anyone using 2000charge? Good/bad? |

Epoch really pisses me off! Unfortunately, my top sponsor uses them.

If I'm not mistaken epoch tracks sales via the query string don't they? sponsorsite.com/pt=yourcode/ most of the time.
The upside to this is that you can turn cookies off in your browser, click your link and sign up and the sale will track. (I know because I did it to see) And with Epoch you can link directly to the CC sign up form and bypass the sponsors tour completely. (A BIG plus IMO) With the new default IE settings, if you're relying solely on client side cookies to track sales you're losing money.

You can speak to Clay at Epoch concerning my abilities to work with any of the EPOCH billing system interfaces.

http://clicktrack.wnu.com/clicktrack...w .domain.com They are relying solely on client side cookies and that cookie is set for just one hour and my tests show when cookies are disabled or cos of default IE settings system fails to track referrers. But yes, you can still link directly to join form. |

I mean their new system may track referring URLS and all of that stuff, but that's nowhere near as important as counting each and every join.

EzTrack is both a cookie based program and also uses another method of proprietary browser tracking for browsers that do not support cookies so we can track all sales. You can still use the same webmaster codes, and you can still continue to process the way you have in the past (tracking your webmasters). We built this new tracking system for webmasters who do not have a tracking program, most all of our large sponsors use their own proprietary system or truecash, clickman etc..
Eztrack is also supported on all interfaces. Clay EPOCH [email protected] http://www.epochsystems.com/sales |

EzTrack is supposed to use EzID logic to track referrer code when cookie is disabled alright but it doesn't.. I proved that to your tech. Your tech is supposed to talk to the programmers to figure out why. However, for now I'm passing the codes page to page with a small php coding. Now, you should really consider setting the cookie for one year or something. Setting cookie for one hour is simply a joke.
Truecash, Clickman are big sponsors they can do a lot of things. I don't hear Jettis giving us examples of proprietory softwares of Hustler.. hmm.. you know what I think Jettis itself provides a fine tracking/performance analyzing software to Hustler AND everyone else |
