I wont try to show if they did have knowledge or not ... not my point.

12clicks dismissed the opinion of one poster because he had no " knowledge " of the middle east...
So logically, I ask the question . You still didn't show that Bush has any knowledge of that region, so his opinion is as worthless as the dog of 12clicks ...

Try to think before typing ..

I won't go down to your level with insults ....

Clinton was a Rhodes scholar so he attended grad school in England. Carter was an Annapolis grad so he traveled while serving out his naval commitment and later ran a succesful family business. Bush failed in every business venture that he touched.

Don't take my word for it. You can look it up.

Or, wait, er... it could be... yeah, I think ...er... to my believes... that it are the other way around.

Who cares if he was a Rhodes scolar?
According to Answers.com the definition of a Rhodes scolar

A scholarship for study at Oxford University. Cecil Rhodes, an English financier of the late nineteenth century, established the scholarships to train potential leaders. They are designed for students from Germany and from nations formerly part of the British Empire, including the United States. Rhodes scholars are chosen for ability, moral character, and success in sports.

moral character?

success in sports? what sports was he successfull in?

you missunderstand what I was saying (and then of course the usual rabble scream their usual idiot thoughts and muddy the water)

You say you think he's an idiot because of his middle east policy. Considering he has very intelligent people advising and working for him, It's completely logical to ask what you basis is. For you to come back with, "I have eyes" doesn't really hold water. All of his advisers not only have eyes, they also have experience.

silly to claim your right because one liberal judge ruled in your favor. talk to me after the supreme court decides.

hiding your terrorist sympathies behind "defending the constitution" couldn't be more silly. There have been many times through history where parts of the constitution were suspended or ignored in times of trouble. It's only now that we've let so many of your kind breed that it becomes an issue.

The Constitution is not a suicide pact.

Ha.. so now I'm a terrorist sympathizer.. Your ignorance .. well.. is expected..

The Supreme Court has ruled that the Authorization for the Use of Military Force ? issued by Congress in the days after 9/11 ? is not a blank check for the administration.
The AUMF [Authorization for the Use of Military Force] does not authorize activity that was not specifically contemplated in the text or legislative history.
Bush uses the AUMF as his go-ahead for warrantless wiretapping by saying, "errr uhhh well it was implied" ... DUMB! Nothing is 'implied' when your laying out specifics...
Warrantless wiretapping was NOT specifically contemplated..

Sure.. I'll talk to you after the Supreme Court decides..

and my kind of breeding is what has kept your kind free from a dictatorship..
Your kind being those who will let the gov't walk all over you, remove your rights and freedoms supposedly in the name of keeping you safe...

I guess you believe that the, "War on terror" is an officially declared war..
"Let the prez do what he wants because there's a war on terror!!"

Mmm k.. your turn.. Dang this is entertaining

I haven't yet determined whether you're a liar, or as I first supposed, and idiot. perhaps both.

In HAMDI v. RUMSFELD, The Government argued that the authorization to use military force constituted permission by the Congress to detain Hamdi even though the AUMF does not specifically mentioned. The Supreme Court agreed. And the Supreme Court said it is of no moment that the authorization to use military force does not mention detention. Detention of people captured on the battlefield is a fundamental incident of waging war. The same is true with respect to electronic surveillance.

so please son, put away your imaginary law degree and get back to facts.

nah, your kind is why its so hard to capture and kill our enemies. Paraniod idiots always chirp about "dictatorship" "losing rights and freedoms" "letting the president do what he wants" when all we're actually talking about is the secret wiretapping of people in contant with our enemies. period. ALL else is just the delusional thoughts of a shut in who finally has an outlet for his paranoid ramblings.

First.. if you're gonna refer to information, lay it all out.. their mention of surveillance had to do with foreign surveillance which is specifically mentioned.. not wiretapping U.S. citizens..

You really believe that? All else is delusional thoughts...? Dang.. is that the best ya have??

In Washington, newly released documents show counterterrorism agents at the Federal Bureau of Investigation have been monitoring domestic activist groups including Greenpeace, Catholic Worker, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee and PETA, the People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The documents indicate the F.B.I. monitored protests organized by the groups and used confidential informants inside the organizations to gain intelligence. In one case, government records show the FBI launched a terrorism investigation of PETA in Norfolk, Virginia.

Yes indeedy.. these are all my delusional thoughts..

Dang! I've known all along that PETA was in bed with the enemy... darn those people anyway!!!

and Greenpeace.. whew!! don't even get me started on that dangerous organization.. makes me shiver just thinkin' about it..

oh, and just to further set you straight, my deluded friend:

http://www.taemag.com/issues/article...cle_detail.asp

Greenpeace, Inc. and other non-exempt Greenpeace entities benefitting from these transfers have committed numerous acts of eco-terrorism. They have blockaded a U.S. naval base, broken into the central control building of a nuclear power station in England, overrun the Exxon Mobil corporate headquarters in Texas, and rammed a ship into the French sailboat competing in the 2003 America?s Cup, permanently damaging the vessel.

In April 2002, Greenpeace activists forcibly boarded a cargo ship in Florida carrying Brazilian wood. In connection with this incident, federal prosecutors obtained an indictment against Greenpeace this July for violating an 1872 law prohibiting the unauthorized boarding of ?any vessel about to arrive at the place of her destination.?

Greenpeace isn?t alone in funneling tax-exempt dollars into eco-terrorism efforts. According to the Center for Consumer Freedom, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has donated at least $70,000 from its tax-exempt coffers to the ALF.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy Verhey, who prosecuted the 1992 ALF firebombing of a Michigan State University laboratory, recently noted the challenge of prosecuting eco-terrorists because of ?a lack of witnesses and the group?s ?cell? structure that lacks centralized leadership or a membership roster.?

the Animal Liberation Front (ALF), targets laboratories that conduct vital scientific research on animals. Walter Low, a researcher at a University of Minnesota laboratory, noted that a recent ALF attack on his facility ?has set back two years research conducted there on Alzheimer?s disease and cancer.?

The American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee is a pro HAMAS/Hezbollah organization and should be investigated.

'Rule of law'
The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 (FISA) covers domestic wiretaps, requiring the government to go to a FISA court to seek a warrant within 72 hours of establishing such a wiretap.

Now read carefully.... The law hasn't been changed...

You're wasting your time with this young'n.. He'll want you to show him official links to each item in your list, then label you a terrorist sympathizer cause ya see.. 12clicks has taught us that most of those things you've listed happened in order to keep us safe and our fearless leader has the authority to do whatever he wants because he's the prez... Similar to what Nixon said with Watergate..

But the guy probably has a cute way of gettin on and off..

hahaha, what utter trash you are.

so your position is that the FBI shouldn't investigate anything but muslim terrorists?
hey, here's an idea, make a new post about how local police shouldn't bother investigating murders either unless they're connected to muslim terrorists.

hahaha, I show you a supreme court decision that the current admin is working under and you just continue to rant. I guess that works for shut ins but you gotta do better out here in the world.
The AUMF gives him the power to do what he's doing. FISA is for when there is no AUMF.
but you keep pretending YOU know while providing no links to back up your bullshit and no Supreme Court decisions backing up your ramblings.

poor deluded shut in. Imagining people who want the government to wiretap terrorists as "cowardly sheep who thinks all things government are to be believed and followed" but you yourself, who want the governments hands tied in the fight against terror are some kind of hero is laughable.
