That epass rep actually seemed patient and helped you as much as he could despite your juvenile tact. Judging by your gfy posts and now the way you've acted in this thread, I think I should take you to court and make you prove to all of us you are over 18.

But defending your proposed lawsuit would be fun. Please file it. I'll even come down and pickup the summons to save you the expense of the process server. |

more threats. bottom line is, ePassporte is not a bank, we're not stealing your money or keeping it for ourselves - when we freeze accounts associated with fraudulent behavior - it's to protect *your* money. people seem to forget that ePassporte is not a bank, like the one you walk into with your ID, credit cards, SSN, etc. (assuming you're in the US) and they eventually give you a bank account - they are also FDIC insured. if someone got your password they could wipe oiut your ePassporte account pretty fast (although not your s since it has no money in it.) ePassporte lets you sign up online and hold your money in an easily accessible place. i'm sorry that the internet is *also* filled with scammers, but if ePassporte suspects fraud wouldn't you rather they pause your account and look into it first? :2 cents: |
Yawns... Am I the only one loving his epassporte?
Well said Keyser & Tassy. :thumbsup |

Because i keep hearing the same problems over and over again with epassporte i cant help but think, either someone is missing something over there or they just dont seem to care. I love epassporte , great idea , great product , but poor support and paypal-like problems and seemingly unable to listen to customers ( customer support seems to have improved since you and keyzer got on board :thumbsup ). Maybe you can do me a favour and pass along a suggestion to your boss.. It woiuld be really really really really cool if we could go back more than one month of transactions.. I have lots of credit cards , all with online services , they all have complete transaction history available, some people may not need it but im sure they wont be upset about having "more" features , and it sure would help out your customers a ton. |

Yes please...I just ran into this issue the other day. Great suggestion. :thumbsup :pimp |

ePassporte managed to make itself into an extremely popular form on payment in our industry. Many people, especially those outside the US, use it to receive a large portion of their payments from affiliate programs. It's convenient to do so because it avoids the hassle, fees and time associated with paper cheques. These are benefits that ePassporte touted to us. As such, most people use their ePassporte account as their bank account. Though it may not be an actual bank account, ePassporte essentially wants us to use it as one. Every week, there is yet another post on this board about ePassporte locking up accounts because they may have been associated with fraud, thus inconveniencing fellow webmasters who are basically denied access to their pay checks. And with every such post comes the standard reply "We're doing this to protect you". If our protection was your main goal, you'd immediately open up a new ePassporte account for the user in question and issue a new card. This is what Visa and Mastercard do. Essentially, it seems like your company wants us to use our ePassporte account as a bank account only when it suits your needs, not ours. Seems like to best protect our accounts, us users should withdraw out funds immediately... or better yet, not use ePassporte at all. |
I dont understand why people dont use paypal , if your doing graphics work or selling your sig. Thats not adult as long as its not [email protected],there is nothing adult about a simple business transaction. As soon as the money comes in take it out, all these things are not banks they are not insured. I never leave more than twenty bucks in my paypal account.

Also Tassy FYI the customer is always right.Without the customer we are nothing.

I get very bugged about how their so-called security concerns are more and more translating into inconvenience and what some might see as invasion of privacy, without adding much if any security at all. Yet they still won't use the measures commonly used by banks and the like to ensure real security. And recently my card was up for renewal, they charged me, it didn't arrive on time. That could have been the fault of USPS, not EP at all and KS dealt with getting me a replacement quickly, so fine. But what I discovered was that when they issued the new card and set it up with a pin which would need activation, doing that re-set the pin on the existing card too, 2+ weeks ahead of its expiry. Which I found out when I tried to use an ATM... So I come back home, reactivate the old card and go back out again, get my cash. Not a big deal, but typical of the lack of attention to detail that they can get away with right now. And a note about that was simply ignored, so I don't imagine their system is going to change any time soon, even though it obviously shouldn't be set up that way. |
I belelive minusonebit heard from Chris M by now why his account were terminated, he must be OK with the reason otherwise he would have posted about it I am sure.
I've been with ePassporte 9-10 months now, I suggest everyone verify their accounts most times an account is blocked it could have been prevented if the account had been verified. Smokey and jayeff the two issue you describe (Statement, pin) unfortunately we are limited by the issuing bank, they don't give more than 30 days statement, thats why we sent out statements on request from card holders, if it was possible we would show a complete statement history. Jayeff same goes with the pin code being reset. We are working hard to get the issuing bank to improve these issues. |
Shit, I'm suing Epassporte and subpoenaing Tassy just to gaze upon her again.:1orglaugh
I've got as good a chance as minusonebit.:1orglaugh |
As a card holder, I've never had a problem with them. I like epass quite a bit.

B) Maybe you should read the TOS you agreed to when you signed up before spouting that you're going to sue. Epass would kick you to the curb in a lawsuit if it came to that even if they WERE US based. |

No one has responded to the e-mail I sent yesterday and CCd both you and Tassy on. I do have a life and as much as this pisses me off, I am not sitting here all day hitting refresh on my webmail to see if you people have finally gotten off your asses and sent a response. BTW, here was the e-mail, in case you didnt get it: ---------------------------- Original Message ---------------------------- Subject: Why is My Account, MinusOneBit, Suspended? From: [email protected] Date: Fri, August 4, 2006 1:15 pm To: [email protected] Cc: [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why is my account suspended? |

ePassporte uses "security measures" the same way George Bush does. Alot of companies do this. How about ePassporte worries about running the fucking company, and *I'll* worry about the security of my fucking account. I am in the best position to safeguard my account of anyone. |

Like I already told you I don't know. Chris Mallick is the owner of the company and I was told he would email you regarding this, that is the information I have. You emailed us Friday at noon and since Internext is on and its the weekend that might be the reason you haven't received a response. |

I do have to hand it to you all, you all really have managed to snowball this board and the industry as a whole. You all have managed to get a majority of this industry to think that ePassporte provides good service. Either they dont know what good service really is because they have never had it or they are just too ignorant to care. |
