putting the angels site at 1 made it really clear how shitty the poll was working... read previous posts on this thread...

i like the toon x site and think mafia was cheatign the poll from the start and others started cheating later.

I just made what i did obvious, then came here and posted about it.

the poll turned out to be a joke

im interested to see the real results, the judges decisions..

Alias said he did it on purpose to expose other cheaters.

Why the fuck are people being called idiots now? Ya'll have gotten out of hand. Let's have some peace, love and understanding....it was to show what you can do...people saw...now deal with their perceptions of your work good, bad or whatever. If you think someone cheated ppl still saw your work and formed their own judgements.

Well, the angels site is a crappy, half ass design obviously done by a rookie. But toon x and mafia one are done by professionals and i doubt there was any cheating for either of those.

now i know people don't like to read these long threads so here is the deal:

this morning a few sited rapidly went up the poll ranks, simultaneously a thread was posted about how if you clear cookies you can vote twice.

the poll became obviously weighted.

so what did i do?

instead of cry like a bitch on here i tried to exploit the poll so heavily that it would be deemed worthless.

the funny part is right before i posted i had to fight to keep my site at the top of the ranks mafia was steadily climbing to get back to the top BUT as soon as this was posted, the shuffle stopped and now it hasnt moved in hours.

based on this i believe some sites were cheating and the poll results are worthless.

i dont know if this has been posted yet, cause i dont want to look through 1000000 posts, but i think it should be reset and everyone who has a username on gfy and wants to vote gets a l/p to vote on the contest. that should eliminate all the cheaters.

Theres My Prize in this contest! Totally fucking biased, rules werent followed, people cheated like a motherfucker, and the preliminary judging was a total fucking joke, This contest was a waste of fucking time..

But big props to all the people who did make it to final judging you did have some nice shit.. The toon site should have finished 1st IMHO.. Again I think this contest was very biased to begin with..

Man some people are really trying to cheat.
I bet there are a few people voting alot of times for their own site.

Means some people vote a 1 for every other site and a 10 for their own site.
Amazing how some sites jumped all the way up in no time.
I think it's quite obvious..... plus you should be able to track some in your log file.
Make sure when you guys find out that you post this public so everybody knows who is real dumb on this board.

im pretty sure i didn't do what you think i did :) - i had no time to do any flash.. i hardly had time to add sales text.. i will be fixing it all up on monday, adding flash to the middle area, adding sales copy.. changing a few things... mines languishing in the lower middle.. i don't mind though.. part of me wishes i didn't rush it and hand it in especially with all the cheating going on... and i probably went too designy.. but.. eh.. it's there now.. getting a shitty result in the comp doesn't really worry me as much as i thought it would...

Um I'm a huge asterix fan and I didnt have a clue to that either. Is Idefix the dog? In the English editions I read he's named Dogmatix. I just checked on the net for Idefix and I get images of dogmatix.

I was in Paris recently and Asterix and Cleopatra the movie was everywhere! I couldnt go though cos none of my friends wanted to see it, esp cos it was in French :(

looks like it was a fucking fun show. too bad i couldn't get in to see it.
