why use an existing logo for a NEW site, even if i had to use an existing site and content for a design u can still change the logo for the contest only and if the client likes the old one still u make a version for him with the old logo.

Why enter a contest that has rules like: "no used designs" and "no identifiable tour elements" and blatently disreguard these rules?

That is Mafiaporns Brand Logo.. THis is what will be used on Shirts,Baseballcaps and Mafiaporn Propaganda.

Mafiaporn will eventually have 3 tours and will always use the same branding logo. We plan to do 3 tours per each domian soon.

True, but if I had entered one of my clients designs from this week, I could have had lots of Canadians voting for "their" site in the contest pushing my design up in the ranks.

Of course this is very profitable for you either way SNOW, your affiliate program is being sold all over this contest, I guess you wont see error in the results since they benefit you each direction.

Check it, I enter a clients domain in the contest, you dont think theyre employees carry the votes, I win TV & you get affiliates, very simple. Thats why its borderline man.

7. Tours may not be blatantly designer identifiable until AFTER the competition. What this means is, the voting is going to be anonymous. You can't put your name on the thing or something so that people will instantly recognize who did it. If your particular style is picked up on, that's acceptable (and really unavoidable anyway), but don't "mark" your tour by putting your company url on it or something.

#1 may be disqualified.

no he did not, but the branding snow speaks of is a double edged sword. Meaning: people have seen mafia bucks and their sites "announced" plenty of times recently.

This can cause high ratings because they are voting not only for a site but for the branded entity that is so clearly apparent.

To have a recognizable name or logo is just as bad as if nina had used her own pics, which was the reasoning for rule #5 in the first place.

My point exactly. I was never going after Snow, the OWNER, but whoever did it obviously has pull with the brand name that could cause some unfair votes. Doesn't matter anyway, it's a kick ass design, if it wins it wins. Tours look good.

very true Snow. Load time should not be a factor as none of these tours are on the servers they would normally be on, plus this is purely for the contest and it's being hammered. :)

I think alot of people just looked up the tour and then went to the next one, because they couldnt be fucked going through it all and because of some erorrs etc.

At least next year we know what would best attract people :Graucho

Please look at the tours and look at how the pics are clickable.. its pretty cool. Alot of the sites have little new feautures. Dont just look at the splash, look at the whole site.

most of my free hosted sites load quicker than these entrance pages...

What matters is the rules. Who uploaded when and what graphics have been used (or resused as we've seen) in contest. Original. Effective. FUNCTIONAL.

Zexy.com was designed within the time frame alloted, by the designer qualified to design the site (NOT hired).

Zexy.com has intracate layers and interactive animations based on where the user is lead through the design. A judging basic.

Zexy.com is compressed, fast loading, and within page sizes (including graphics) allowed within the contest rules. I checked.

Zexy.com is sexy. It's art, has a theme. It makes me want to see more and is an effective design, created to convert.

Regardless of what I think, there a few other sites in that mix I can appreciate. But from a designers point of view, art and content blend to create an erotic (non obtrusive or confusing) picture. Straight up sexy.

i saw very little that impressed me..... not being rude but judging on the basis of looking for something different that stands out. They all looked like cookie cutter sites of each other.


I'm more into sites that do things DIFFERENTLY, and I saw little of that there.
