Best host for adding domains quickly?
Which host makes it really easy to add new domain names, and ten you can upload the new pages? Say I buy 10 domains every day.. what's the best way to upload the new sites to the new domains with the right host?
If your host takes more than a few hours to add new domains, don't even mention them.. they're way too slow and you should be ashamed that you're still hosting with them.

With DirectAdmin you can add domains in about 1 minute, that is one of the reasons that it is our default panel

Baddog, how many steps are involved in that? Trying to get an idea of how long it would take to add 10+ new domains each day and have them ready for uploading the sites and content.
Ideally, if I could paste 10 domains into a form.. and it would set it all up for me.. that would be great.

one, no cut and paste, but it is easy enough that I have become quite adept at it. I will be the first to admit that 18 months ago I relied entirely on my admins to do everything for me as far as servers were concerned. When we decided that DirectAdmin was the best solution for the service we provide (multiple Class C's) it opened a whole new world for me. Instead of me going to others for help, I was guiding people thru the process. It would take you about 10 minutes to add 10 domains unless you are very slow
I can set up a new customer with a virtual plan in 15 minutes, and that is a little more involved than adding a new domain |

I've got one that I'm testing out - it uses cpanel but the interface is client based, all i have to do is add reseller rights and you can copy past 10/20/30 domains at once and it's done.
Plus you can make default templates for new domains so your pages can be brandable from creation. again this isn't a panel, this is the ERP interface for the panels. it works with webadmin, plesk, cpanel, and a bunch of others.

DirectAdmin, or Cpanel are the way to go... check out a virtual or with how many domains it sounds like you are doing a dedicated server with either easy to use service. I'm personally using Split Infinity, and I've also heard very...very good things about baddogs's www.gotwebhost.com.
Once setup you should be rocking through your new domains as quick as your registrar can propogate DNS

With the CONTROLzx HMS you can add 10 domains in 10 seconds.
If you want an account to play with, let me know and I'll get it setup for you. No need to host with us, we'll just let you mess with a live control panel instead of the demo to test. A lot of hosts on this board use the HMS.

So domain 1 could be on IP address 1, which uses name server 1. Domain 2, could be on IP address 1 or 2, or whatever, and use any name server you select from the dropdown menu, or our name servers. It's a very simple panel to use.

If you have an existing host that uses WHM, this works pretty well. I dont think it will work with cpanel or plesk though.
I do have something similiar that used to work on cpanel, I can dig around for the script if you'd like? |

Well my clients don't want to be forced to learn some shitty control panel nor do they want to have anything to do with servers. They've got better things to do. Its not a client's job to setup domains and email and whatever this is what you as a webhost must be there for. Cpanel and other shitty control panels were made to reduce costs and generally fit the ones that try to do everything by themselfs to save a buck. No thanks, that aint my target market. You're free to get them all ![]() |

I backorder about 10 domains a day, and even though I have my own servers, I use hostgator to host my domains, and then I point them to domain sponsor.
Plus you can host unlimited domains. |
