I don?t really understand why people get upset at death. It?s a biological fact that?s been gong on since the beginning of life itself. We?re all dying one second at a time and there?s nothing we can do to stop it. Some people?s clock unwinds faster than others, and some never even get a chance to start. You shouldn?t be sad at death; instead you should just accept it and enjoy your life to the fullest, however long or however short it may be. I don?t think its ?heartless? to not get upset at death as without death there could be no life. And for those who actually get to live a long life, say seventy, consider yourself lucky. Look at all the changes you will have seen throughout your life. Savor each lungful of life because you never know when your last breathe is coming.

Are you from China or something?
this is not about the death, it is about the age. You may be happy to die, but not when you are young.

people get upset with death because it means never seeing those people again. nor ever seeing the people they love should they be the one to die.

you chose a tasteless time to make this comment btw

No, you don?t, and I really don't logically see why you would get upset at such an event. If you have enjoyed every bit of your life to the fullest, then death shouldn't be a sad event. If you've spent as much time and invested as much emotion into a relationship with a family member, friend, or another loved one, then the same holds true here. If you do feel sadness in either scenario then you obviously have regrets about your or their lives; there was something you could have said or did different before their clock ran out. If you haven?t made every effort possible with the person(s) in question, then that?s your fault. If you?re square with them, and you?ve done all you can up to that moment of death, then there logically is not a reason to get upset at a biological response that has been occurring for billions of years.

Hang on there Mr. Roboto, I don't freak out over death. Matter of fact it usually dosen't affect me much. When it's someone I didn't know real well. But when I knew them well and liked them, then even I get sad. It's a human response.

I think it's a learned human response over years of brainwashing by what society deems 'right' and 'acceptable' when it comes to human nature. I believe that human beings are far more capable than we give ourselves credit for. If we can grow out of our infancy stage and start working together rather than killing each other over whose god wears the shinier hat, I honestly believe that there is no limit to our success as a species. I have not gotten sad at seeing a person die in quite sometime... last time I remember getting 'sad' was during a school shooting in which two people I knew died, and it wasn't sadness from their lives ending, it was sadness that not even school is a refuge from the screwed up society that we live in.
