No, you don?t, and I really don't logically see why you would get upset at such an event. If you have enjoyed every bit of your life to the fullest, then death shouldn't be a sad event. If you've spent as much time and invested as much emotion into a relationship with a family member, friend, or another loved one, then the same holds true here. If you do feel sadness in either scenario then you obviously have regrets about your or their lives; there was something you could have said or did different before their clock ran out. If you haven?t made every effort possible with the person(s) in question, then that?s your fault. If you?re square with them, and you?ve done all you can up to that moment of death, then there logically is not a reason to get upset at a biological response that has been occurring for billions of years.
