I've lost over 25 pounds on this diet; I have more energy when I'm on it than when I'm not and the only time I get hungry is right before meals.

Funny thing for me to post considering my niche, huh? :D

I don't know what the carb count is. Atkins made me sick; I'm done with it.

I can't get a good protein bread around here, I substitute OroWeat 100% whole wheat bread.

Losing more than 2-3 pounds per week is not only unhealthy, but more likely than not you'll gain the weight back anyway.

Why not do it the proper way? If it were easy to be in great shape, everyone would be. Stop looking for miracle answers when hard work is the only real way.

Coffee is optional. Caffeine does increase your metabolic rate a little, but as you can see, water is fine.

Exercise + healthy diet = weight loss. Fad diet = yoyo diet.

I lost 40 lbs in 6 months by replacing a meal a day with a few smokes instead . Kept it off for over 5 months now.

Cut down on the smokes and try this instead. It's good food.

I never said it was healthy, lol. But it worked for me. I've been a smoker for awhile now, since i was 15. But I roll my own so those are somewhat "heathier" for you.

25lbs in 2 weeks is not a good idea. It's like the definition of a yo yo diet.

That diet really isn't that healthy - that's too much calorie cutting. however having three 1/2 grapefruits per day, or 3 8oz glasses of 100% grapefruit juice has been shown to help weight loss. Researchers believe it's because the acidity of the juice slows digestion and helps you feel "full" longer (this months issue of mens health)

thanks for posting that diet, but youre not starving on it?
The breakfast is almost nothing and the lunch is so small.
Id think youd be starving for 10 hours a day and would get headaches from it.
Id be starving even after dinner on this.
Im hungry just thinking about how little you eat on it.

I'm a big fat guy.. about 100 lbs overweight when I started this diet, and I didn't get hungry.

Is grapefruit an appetite suppressant? I don't know. I do think protein is more filling than high-carb foods.

I did pig out on canteloupe and honeydew once in a while. :D Good stuff... and a lot less fattening than ice cream.

I've lost 25 pounds so far, and I don't stress out if I cheat... I just go back to it the next day.

I've lost 22 pounds in, what, three months? I started out on the Body For Life program, but it's expensive food-wise, and I fell off the wagon when I did a stint living in hotels-hard to eat healthy when you can't cook.

So now I just use common sense with what I eat, drink 64 oz of Crystal Light a day, no soda, and I hit my treadmill for 20 minutes a day, unless my knee is getting tricky like it does every few weeks and then I take a day or two off. (I just bought the Turbo Jam DVDs and I'm excited about switching up my routine a bit and my god, have you seen the abs on those people, they are fabulous! I can just imagine how hot I'll look with a nice flat tummy and even though my ass will be smaller it will always be a round one, so that figure will be niiiiice to flaunt, lol.)

I bought a pair of Seven jeans and couldn't get them over my thighs when they arrived in the mail. Two months ago I could get them on, but they were too uncomfortable for more then an hour or two. I just wore them all day today without any problem, and I got lots of compliments on them.

So many diets talks lately... are webmasters just starting in the last year that you get fat from not going out of home and sitting in front of the computer all day ?

Ok.. so this diet is unsafe as a long term diet.. but 90% of people who want to try a reduced carb diet without doing anything dangerous or extreme will find that they lose a reasonable amount of weight just by dropping sugar water, candy and sweet deserts from their diet.

Also, stop eating when you feel satisfied, eat slower (so you know when you're full.. try conversation over dinner), and stuff yourself with vegetables when you're not eating a meal. Baby carrots are fun, and they increase your metab.

If that doesn't work for you, heroin is much better than cocaine. Coke causes overeating when you're not on it.

And for god sake, get your insulin levels under control. Go get checked for diabetes before your fat ass is dead, or worse, blind and still alive.

Why not do it the proper way? If it were easy to be in great shape, everyone would be. Stop looking for miracle answers when hard work is the only real way.

you could lose 20 lbs in 2 weeks on that diet ONLY if you were VERY overweight to begin with...like minimum 300 lbs.

normal BMI people would not lose that much.

weight loss is mostly physics. your maintenance caloric burn is based mostly on your existing weight and % body fat. you need a deficit of 3500 calories to lose one pound.

this diet is maybe 1400-1500 cal/day. a girl weighing 100 pounds might even gain weight on this diet.

true, if you are very FAT you could lose the weight.

there are healthier ways to do it, that will actually work long-term. fast weight loss will not stay off.

if you want to lose weight and KEEP it off this requires a LIFESTYLE change, not a fad diet.

Anything more than 3-5 pounds in a week is not going to be just fat loss.

My metabolism is so slow I can gain weight just thinking about food
As a result I have pretty much "dieted" my entire adult life, but rather than going on any sort of diet I just bulk up on veggies and other lo-cal/lo-fat foods when I need to pull back a few pounds. The real trick is that any diet is doomed to fail if you perpetually deny your cravings. You either need to work in occasional favorite fattening foods or find substitutes that fill the cravings.

In the first months after Katrina my friend and I ate "comfort food" constantly and as a result I packed on about an extra 20 pounds. We both went on a diet about 4 months ago and this time I jumpstarted by taking a high-potency multi-vitamin and a Lipodrene daily. The Lipodrene keeps me from snacking during the day then I eat a reasonable portion of what I want to in the evening. As a result, the pants that fit me when I started will fall off if I take 2 steps in them now
