Any other Battlestar Galactica fans here?

I've been hooked on everything BSG for over a year now. I know things about the story that no one should know - I'm just obsessed.
I can't wait until the online episodes and season 3. I am going CRAZY!

Well the season finale actually came out a few months ago, everything since about march/april I think are re-runs.

Right now I am pondering how the fleet is planning on coming back to New Caprica.

My theory is that the cylons that landed on NC are actually a splinter group lead by Caprica Six and Boomer Sharon, there to basically protect the humans from an inevitable invasion by the main fleet. I have no idea though. Rumours are also spreading that the Galactica and Pegasus find the Atlantia (albeit almost completely destroyed) restore it and FTL back to NC on a rescue mission. Who knows.

Battlestar Galactica is one of my favorite shows. I can't wait until October when the season starts up again.

I apparently don't watch enough TV.. Is this the old Battlestar Galactica I watched when I was a kid? Or is this a new one?

I watched about 20min of it once, and shut it off. what I saw was so far off from the original story that it was sad.

My friend lent me his season 1 DVD's and i loved it. Great fucking show. I read the other day that it has done so well that they are making a spinnoff show called Caprica that is basically going to show how the cylons were first made and then eventually became intelligent and rebeled against the humans. Hopefully it will rock.

The original story sucked. The first 2 attempts were well intentioned but just stood no chance of surviving. The modern show has drama, space, conflict... it's the whole frackin shabang.

I admit I was very leery when I first heard about the remake, but after watching 15 minutes I was hooked. The acting is so sparse and real and the uniforms are real, not like T'pal (god bless her curves) or 7of9 getups, and people actually act like military folks. In my opinion it's a far more believable world than the idealistic Trek universe with a peaceful Federation and no money, etc.

I thought Space channel was a year behind, though? Are we caught up to the showings in the states now?

I caught that season finale a few weeks ago. Pretty wild how they jumped a year ahead in the story in an instant in the last half hour of it.

Too bad Adama can't find a way to go back in time and choose NOT to have that idiot elected president. But time travel is something that would only happen on Star Trek. :D

Warning: there's no robotic dog in the remake. You may be disappointed.
