Good for her. I've never been on a bike despite having been married to an 'old biker'. The way his bike accident destroyed his body scared me too much. I know it isn't totally rational but it scared me enough not to get on one despite the chance a number of times.

When I was 17, I got my first car. First thing I did was offer to take my mom for a drive. I had a crappy little Mazda RX-7 (but I loved it so), and I took it up to about 100 mph, hoping to impress her. I kept looking over expecting her to flinch or show distress. She never once did.

At the end if the ride I said "Betcha never gone that fast before, huh Mom?"

She said "Nigga, please."
