How do I explain away my 4 years in online adult on my resume? - GoFuckYourself.com

Im going to go back into the work force and for the past 4 years Ive worked in adult and I dont know how to put that on my resume or explain it away.

I guess I could say that I sold shit on ebay and make a fake website selling items on ebay, and then just tell the interviewer that it slowed down and Im going back to work.
Or say I was taking care of a sick relative for the past few years.
Any other ideas?

Yep, that's about what my non-adult job description is as well. And most companies have a non-adult business name you can use, and all of my former employers understand that I may use them as a reference for non-adult work as well.

actually I found some mainstream companies respect me more for working in the adult industry because they know we are far advanced in knowledge than any one of them.

I would say just say film/production if they ask.
but i guess that depends on what job you are going for.

I say take a month off adult create/develop some maintsream sites to showcase before you go for any interview.

If you will work for some IT company you can do it (make a fake site) or you can say you were in coma.

For various mainstream companies. "Have you ever had an adult company that you consulted for?" Yes, I had one and it was an experience.
