Turn off the cartoon look, get ALL the updates as appartently they're not in a service pack until the legal stuff is sorted and all the latest drivers. Drivers are the worst offenders. You should then find it very stable.

That'll teach me not to read it properly. I missed the 128 thing. Get at least 256Mb or better still 512 as has already been said. It's still under 20c a meg here and US is usually a little cheaper so wont stretch the budget too much.

I am running 256 with an Athlon 650 ... and it runs pretty sweet ... unless I am downloading movies ... I have to constantly reclaim my RAM then ...

I am starting a BIG RED H server ... so I will be putting another 256 MBs in ... as well as a couple 100 GB hard drives on top of the 40 I already have ... I think I might go USB external drives

anybody have any good or bad stories about external high capacity USB drives ??
