sTLD's .TEL , .ASIA and .XXX have all proceeded in negociations following the boards initial review of the overall criteria, including the sponsorship criteria, and review of the negative evaluations prepared by the evaluations teams. NONE OF THE REGISTRY AGREEMENTS FOR THESE THREE sTLDs HAVE BEEN APPROVED, and the board will not approve the registry agreements until they are assured that the agreements demonstrate the applicant's ability to comply with the representations made in the application and the supporting materials that have been provided in support of the applications....

SO for now folks you could breed a little better but .XXX is still in negotiations....

Where are the meeting? is in it New Zealand? Yes I just saw the date on this letter dated May 4, did not notice it but is it pretty starightforward that .XXX is not approved yet?

.xxx is the only thing that I am thinking about in past few days so you're wrong

ICANN posted on April 18th that they are going to debate .xxx on May 10th
then they posted that they are going to formally reply to GAC "public policy" concerns
then GAC mailed ICANN saying that they didnt receive that promissed reply yet

so then ICANN replied back to them with a long letter
and then ICANN decided to publically post their correspondence with GAC 2 days ago

neverthlesss ICANN is still meeting today to discuss and possibly vote on .xxx

and no, they meet in the US as far as i know

they met in Wellington, New Zeland on a public gathering 1.5 months ago

for today they have a small closed meeting scheduled, probably in their normal offices in the US

Ok, thx did not know they were meeting in the US. I think it will not be approve & they will have to find other means to stop kids from viewing porn, like create a .KIDS instead.

Yeah...its called parental responsibility.

As the father of two children - both my wife and I take a very active role in monitoring what our kids do on the web. In our household they only have web access on a computer that is within eyesight of my wife's workstation - and we only allow them to use it when we're in the vicinity.

I'm so tired of this "kill the messenger" mentality when it comes to kids and their web activities. Its symptomatic of a society that can't claim responsibility for its own inaction and would sooner pass the blame on down the line.

I'm just going to let my child do what ever he wants, when ever he wants and hope that the government will have protected him enough somehow that he'll turn out just fine on his own.
