As the father of two children - both my wife and I take a very active role in monitoring what our kids do on the web. In our household they only have web access on a computer that is within eyesight of my wife's workstation - and we only allow them to use it when we're in the vicinity.

I'm so tired of this "kill the messenger" mentality when it comes to kids and their web activities. Its symptomatic of a society that can't claim responsibility for its own inaction and would sooner pass the blame on down the line.
