"A day without workers because there was no time to replace them."

Embarrassing! This big walkout in Los Angeles left the freeways so clear that you could do 70mph. No traffic on the streets and emergency rooms in the hospitals so not full that they orderlies and doctors were hanging around outside waiting for patients.
