Cool! You must have at least 3 seahorse, breed and sell. And do you know that seahorse can intensify sexual desire.

lol you must be joking.. I am guessing these are all caught out of the sea where you live and not bought from pet stores because theres NO WAY you could ever do that any other way. The fish would all be dead in a few days from bacteria.

http://www.saltwaterfish.com

no joke,
i live on the Indian river which is part of the Inter Coastal Waterway and is very close to the ocean. I have caught all these fish myself.

Some species do not do well for one reason or another.

Mangrove Snapper for example, fascinating fish, but after only a few days you can see stuff growing on it's fins, tried them twice and released them.

We caught some baby squid one night, they died after a few hours, were very amazing to watch as they changed colors and stuff, they were about 3 inches long.

Caught an eel but he was a little too large and seemed to stir things up too much. Let him go only after an hour.

All the fish we have now seem to be doing great. That sheeps head is getting huge, we've had him for 6 months. The rock bass and pig fish have been in there for about 3 months. The grouper only 2 weeks and seems fine.

This morning the sea horse looks right at home and is looking good. All these fish live naturally with each other in the wild so things look good.

LOL sweet seahorse. This remind me of the scene in Napoleon Dynamite when the chick tells Uncle Rico to think of seahorses.

really nice tank,

i have a 90 gallon tank,

it is half water half land, vertical wise.

i have 2 kinds of toads, 2 newts, dwarf frogs, guppies, tetras, and a blue lobster in it.

i had a crab but the lobster chomped him up real fast.

i wish i had pics of my tank, i have some pics somewhere of the old setup.

cost me a pretty penny to put together.

That's cool. Is it hard to maintain a salt water tank? What is the salinity of the water and how far can it deviate before the creatures would die?

Yeah, if you get water from the ocean you need to filter it. Water from the shore is often poluted.

Also, in a saltwater tank, you don't a bio wheel, lol. Bio wheels actualy lower your water quality in salt. You need a canister filter and a skimmer.

Watch the grouper, he will eat not only the sea horse but everything else in the tank as well, they are not picky eaters at all!

What are you feeding the sheepshead they eat crabs and barnicles and such?

the rock bass is a big eater also, so far it looks like everyone is getting along and the seahorse is too large for them to eat. (i think) were keeping a close eye on it

The sheeps head eats shrimp pellets. So does everyone else so far when I can't find fresh minnows off the dock. Normally in the wild the sheeps head eats all sorts of crustaceans.

When i fish for them I usually chum crushed oyster shells out of the boat and use small fiddler crabs or live shrimp for bait. This one I actually caught in a pin fish trap off my dock. it was about 3" long, it's tripled in size and really is the boss of the tank. Very territorial.

Duke's brother has a Aldobra Tortoise, its getting big its like 25 lbs now. One was found in the wild weighing 673 lbs. Making it the largest ,beating the Galopagos. Aldobra is a group of small Islands north of Madagascar. Man if it gets that big will charge little kids to go for rides on it
