Holy Shit!!! BMW officially releases the new 3 series coupe! Twin Turbo MoFos!!!

The all-new 3 Series Coupe is hitting the roads in September and when it does, be prepared for a re-sculpted look, a twin-turbo engine and, perhaps the biggest news of all, all-wheel drive.

Re-sculpted, inside and out.
It?s rare to find such a sporty machine that also carries its own when it comes to refinement. But with the 3 Series Coupe, absolutely nothing has been compromised.

There?s the aggressive, muscular hood. Flowing signature lines along the profile. Standard Xenon Adaptive Lights. And if you can draw yourself away from the exterior long enough, you?ll notice exquisite changes to the interior as well. New ambient interior lighting. New colors for the leather upholstery. Beautiful pearl gloss accents throughout. And a new comfort feature that provides easier access to the seatbelt.

Then there?s the power ? 300 horses worth of twin-turbo power.
Just like any other BMW, the all-new 3 Series Coupe is outfitted to provide an exhilarating drive. Under the hood of the 335i Coupe is an inline 6-cylinder engine with high precision injection and twin-turbo chargers, giving you 300 horses of heart-pounding power and class-leading 300 ft. lbs. of torque.

The 328i and 328xi Coupes are just as impressive, featuring a more powerful and fuel efficient, inline 6-cylinder engine with Valvetronic. This new engine produces 230 horsepower and 200 ft. lbs. of torque. But because of its inline orientation of cylinders there are fewer vibrations, which means a smoother ride for you.

It?s history in the making.
With the launch of the all-new 3 Series Coupe comes a very big first. It?s the first time we?re offering a coupe with xDrive, BMW?s intelligent all-wheel drive system.

When you?re on smooth, dry roads, xDrive gives you a sporty, rear-wheel drive feel. But as soon as you hit a snow-covered road, slippery conditions, or an uphill curve, it automatically sends more torque to whichever axle has more traction, resulting in optimal stability and performance.

Add to that the driving dynamics intrinsic to a 3 Series Coupe, and there?s no straightaway, no hill, no windy country road, you can?t conquer.

Twin turbo's are fun in a straight line, but cornering with them is sketchy at best.More than once,I've had the turbo's hit boost a little soon or a little late in my 911TT and it's scary. With a front engined car that isn't balanced all that well I'd really need to have a lot of confidence in the awd.
I just got rid of an M3 and am not at all in the market now,but I wouldn't get one the first year out.I predict there are going to be some issues with it.

300HP doesn't seem like much for a twin turbo motor; there's probably plenty of room for mods on it though for anyone willing to fuck around with it...

The way BMW works their engines is kinda weird. The german models all have the same engines yet more power. So, you can safly assume that power is actually reduced in this car just like the others for the states.

Plus, the current model M3 is sporting 333hp and only around 260 torque. So if they made the 3 series any more powerful, it would make the M3 obsolete till the new one came out.

I think 300 hp and 300 torque is awesome for a 3 series.

I think it's because Benz decided to make a AMG supercharged version of all their cars and Suvs so BMW has to compete.

I think the dramatic boost in power on the 3 series is due to cars like the G35 coupe having so much power and costing less. They will knock em out the box with this.

300hp/300ftlb from a 3.5L TT motor??? Talk about erring on the side of caution...

I'm interested in trying out this xDrive though, I wonder if BMW can make AWD not suck...

1. I fucking hate people who drive 3 series' ...something about them.

2. KMR not everyone wants to drive around in fucking rice rockets...even if it is factory installed stock shit. A $28k rice rocket that produces 1,000,000 BHP is still a 28k piece of shit trash that I would never be caught dead in.

3. I can afford 4 335's so I don't want to hear that the only reason I'm hating is because i can't have one.

4. Chris Bangle or Bangel however the fuck the name is spelled should be taken out back...and shot. He tried to be really delicate with the updates on the 3 series because BMW owners nearly had heart attacks (bad heart attacks) over the 7 series (a whale) and the 5 series (a wreck)....and he still managed to fuck the 3 up.

The sexy new IS..the upcoming Mercedes' new C-class and Infiniti's new G Coupe is finally going to give the class leading 3 a run for its money.

I drive a 3 series so you hate me right off the bat, but lets put that aside for now.

I dont see why so many people are hating on Chris Bangle. If he fucked up that bad, they would have caned him. They havn't yet so i guess he isnt doing that bad of a job is he?

The owners might have been weird about the designs but thats why they are the owners and not the designers. BMW sales have not droped since bangle has been on board. As a matter of fact, he's the guy that brought the 6 series back. The 7's are selling, the 5's are selling like crazy, Z4s are everywhere, and with the release of the 3 coupe, he will have redone all of BMW.

Track record: almost every single car Bangle has designed has been a success. As a matter of fact, I cant think of one thats not been a success.

I understand it might not be your cup o tea, but that dosnt mean we need to shoot bangle lollllll.

Comparing a BMW to a Ford should be a felony. It's like comparing Elizabeth Hurley to my left hand.

Yup, Bangle did a great job, his cars are different, unique and will be modern even in 5-7 years. I was sitting in a 2003 mercedes and thought its a car from 10 years ago. And the MB owners are fucking jealous of BMW, because their numbers are skyrocketing after releasing all the new models, and MB numbers suck.
