those cases are bad , but obviously the guy was ill in the head...

There was a case i was watching on tv in canada in ontario and this guy broke in and mudered a mom and left the baby under the body , shot twice in the head and six times in the back , then the guy did it again , same thing killed a mom and left her son there alive.. the case went unsolved for 25 years , then they figured out through dna it was an ex toronto cop.. so the guy pleads guilty to murdering both women and he is eligible for parole in 20 years WTF why oh why would they ever let that guy out... what possible good could come of him.. sick sick sick..

Actually, we have the death penalty for the simple reason that people believe in Heaven and Hell. So, they kill people in an attempt to send them to live eternally in Hell.

I don't believe in Heaven or Hell, and I think it would be a far worse punishment to have to live the rest of my life in a 10 x 10 concrete box with no windows.

But, hey, that's just me.

The death penalty just makes us as bad as the killers themself.

Obviously I agree that what the guy did is horrible but living with this locked up forever is far worse than getting the easy way out and just dieing and dieing a relatively easy death at that.

I do not see how killing the guy does anyone justice.

Ok... this is how it should work ....

SOLITARY confinement the REST of his life ... FORCED to live ... so he can't starve himself ... however ... he get's let out for 1 hour a day to be beaten the fuck out of by the other inmates....

That's punishment. Not the death penalty.

Fucking twisted freak.

It comes down to the fundemental lesson, simple lesson, easy lesson that adults teach children, two wrongs do not make a right. I would advise adults to remember the lessons they teach their kids.

Get a grip man, how does it make you as bad as the killers themselves? What a ridiculous assertion. Of course if you value a killers life the same as a 10 year old innocent child than what you said does make sense.

Keeping him locked up for the rest of his life is civilised.

If he's insane then let it be in an asylum and I doubt if a sane person would do this.

being a father to a little boy I think the right justice would be to tie his ass up and let the family members have thier way.. i'm torn on wether I beileve in the death penalty.. cases like this help justify it.... dunno... but the sick fuck deserves to die..the amazing thing is and it may be too early yet is they haven't liked this behavior to porn like they love to do with the other killers and murderous people in the world shocks me how they go " he believed he was satans pawn and had an adiction to porn which caused him to kill 10 people" then you find out later he was molested by a realive or a preist amazing......

That murder happened about 20 miles down the road from me. The little girl was in a Girl Scout troup that is run by one of my wife's friends. Pretty eerie when something like that happens in a small town near you. He will be getting the death penalty, no doubt about that.

The best punishment since he's clearly a whack job, would be to send him to an insane asylum for the rest of his life with all the other fuckups just like him.

To me, putting someone to sleep, by lethal injection is not a punishment, and that by far is the most costliest process to the taxpayers since it takes eons to actually legally kill someone by the state with all the appeals bullshit they get.

Just checked the stats. Out of 3,500 prisoners nationwide on death row, only 60 actually got executed in 2005.

What a fucking joke.

I always think the death penalty is a loose loose situation you have. If you kill an innocent man you loose, if you kill a mentally ill man you loose, if you kill a guilty man he suffers no longer so you loose again. Wouldnt spending the rest of his life in a prison be a worse punishment?

If that was my daughter I would prefere knowing that he is miserable in prison for the rest of his life.

Add to that, it seems that your death row prisoners get far better conditions while they are in prison, then spend years and years there, then often never get executed. Seems like they are getting not a bad deal compared to being stuck in a real prison for the rest of their lives from day one

Yeah, thats pretty fucking fucked up. But I dont think the death penalty is in order. I'd much rather put him in general population and let the inmates worry dole out his punishment. The inmates did what the state could not in Domer's case, they likely would here as well.

She commenced to beat the Hell out of em..

I have a feeling he'll get his when he becomes a roomy with Bubba and friends .. And some of the guards that have daughters will have no problem turning their heads..

My problem with the death penalty is the justice system itself... I know in Canada they have found people that were put away only to be found not guity years later... it can't be a good feeling knowing that you executed somebody for a crime they didn't even commit

Now that's the point I wanted to hear. America's justice system is built on protecting the innocent. Why? Because in colonial times the King allowed the brutal torture and imprisonment of citizens. It so shook up our ancestors that they put down laws to make sure that if you convict a person that person was convicted by a fair and square set of procedures. Unfortunately these procedures have allowed crime to thrive as even when you catch a guy red handed he can walk.

In this situation, dude was busted cold. Eating and raping and torturing children??? WTF? Shit cannot get lower than that. That's our worst fucking fear. Is he crazy? Fuck yeah. Is he responsible? Fuck yeah.

I don't give a shit what the fuck spawned a freak like him. Earth is better without him.

I couldn't agree more. Killing him is not a punishment, it's an escape for him. Instead, lock him up in a cold damp cell for the next sixy years of his life, feeding him only bread and water, until he dies. That's punishment.

Bah! "for the death penalty"... "Against the death penalty", it's all a waste of time.

It's easy to sit and criticize the death penalty.... until it's YOUR kid that is murdered by some whack job.

Then the decision is much easier.

Oh shit just won't stop gettin' more evil.

This is a story about dude busted for molesting kids at the Children's Hospital! Same hospital where shit about abusing brain damaged patients is under investigation.

Death penalty is too good for these creeps. Bring back public beatings.

You can say that again!

These serial killer types gotta go. In my hometown a dude who was a security guard strangled like 8 women over a several year period right next door to Vassar College. He stuffed the bodies in his house. They sat there rotting for years and for some dumbass reason nobody suspected him cause he had a badge. Even when the smell carried out into the street. His ass is gone. In jail forever. Killed friends of mine. He can never be released. He wouldn't last a fucking day.

I wonder if this type of behavior goes on in Muslim countries.

If it was one of my daughters.. I would tie the fucker down. Force an IV in his arm to pipe in food and nourishment. Then Id slice him on every inch of his body just enough to draw blood. Id give him a few hours to lay there before I came in with the hydrogen peroxide bath. This would be repeated everyday for 1 week. After that Id make the cuts twice as deep and remove one finger or toe each day. He would for his sake die of agony eventually. I dont really care if it brings me down to his level. It really doesnt. Unless my daughter killed one of his kids of course. Imo fucks like this deserve 100 times the pain of whatever they did to kill their victims.

Maybe in the first place society is to blame for not supporting itself in the first place. No matter the penalty, there will always be mentally ill people. So killing them after they committed the crime will not do the victims any good. Sivilised societys prevent such things from happening, and death penalty is definitively not the way to prevent it.

No, no, no,... The old 'Society made him' bullshit don't apply here. There are countries and civilizations that are fubar and they still don't turn out sinister shit like him. They can't blame porn cause there's been mass murder globally for millenia and no one had a a porn collection then.

This is a situation where, like Jeffrey Dahmer, a twisted methodical psychotic emerged. I don't give a shit what spawned him, his ass has to go and we need to be more vigilant about preventing and nailing these creeps before they go off the deep end.

Where did the porn excuse come from? I'm talking about sick people, often with schizophrenic disorders, that need to be take care of by the system before things go wrong....not after they committed the crime. Its 2006, not 1944.

I do support the death penalty but I do not support it currently. Until the time comes where we can always be 100% certain in every single case that the person being found guilty is the right person, I personally will still oppose it. Then and only then I would only want it used in the most extreme of situations.

I would much rather have such individuals locked up forever and studied and dissassembled so that we as a society can learn as much from them as humanly possible. Then when we have finished doing that I would want them used for medical testing to possibly help find ways to save or heal others. Yes I am saying learn from them and then make them into lab rats for the rest of thier lives.

Not commenting specially on this specific case, tho it's one load of sad shit all round.

But totally agree on your comments DD. Societies are responsible for acts of individuals within their group - one example you already quoted is of the care of mentally ill.

Another example is the always-contraversial pedo crimes. Ask any investigator or "authority" within this field and they will tell you it starts with a vicious circle. Daddy (chances are he was abused as a kid) commits offenses against his children - the children grow up to commit offences against other children.

Basically, societies will generally see the crimes they "enabled" in one form or other whether these are crimes on the high end of the scale or burglary.

A society where details of selected crimes are pulled out, analysed and tried by TV are probably the most crass voyeuristic forms of societies and only ten steps away from a lynch mob. Purported members of the legal profession who release details of crimes to the voyeur public before any trial has even commenced are part of the "legal profession" in name only. There never was any justice system which had trial-by-public-debate.

On the death penalty.. there has to be a balanced and independent justice system to start with. In any justice system, there are excellent jurists, however that does not mean the justice system reaches their standards. The US remains a country who signed a treaty agreeing to terminate executions, but still does not meet the standards to ratify that treaty.

Any society is obliged to step up and take full responsibity for individuals within that society - in all ways. It starts with care of those in need (mental health) to Daddy stopping messing with his children. Any society gets back the seeds they sow.

Whatever you do, if this crime is enough to rile you up, don't go to CNN's website and watch the video. The cops describe what happened in detail.

If this guy ever sees the light of day again.....
