why Are people so evil and fucked up. It's shows weakness

Why do people always pick on Helpless people. crazy how successful this board is because of it.

People are so scared and confused the only way they know how to feel better about themselves is by putting others down.

Also I just dont understand how most people are so rapped up in material things they forget what life is really about. when your on your death bed the last thing you are going to think about is all the shit you bought. so why worry about it now.

When was the last time you stopped and smelled the roses or just obsorbed all the beautifiul things around you. the world has so much to offer most never get to see beyond their home town.
the only part that sucks is, it takes money to be able to enjoy all the beauties in the world.

Anyway Im sure this will hit page 2 fast. Dont let life pass you by

Sometimes I wonder what I work so hard for...

Odd but true story.

My great grandfather who was in the hospital and had already pressed the doorbell to deaths door and heard back, one moment please while we were all in his room. He had pretty much said his good byes and shared what he wanted with the family. We all knew he would be gone at any time. He was fairly weak and just holding on. Then out of the blue he litterally sat up in bed and said get me my wallet. Someone quickly retrieved and gave it to him. He dug through it and pulled something out. He sighed and layed back down. We all were fairly puzzled and then he turned to his side and in a hushed voice said here is the reciept for the boots in my closet, you still have two days to return them. That is almost the last thing he ever said.

Sometimes it's fun to take a beautiful thing and just smash it to pieces. Is that so wrong?

And it's also crazy how some guys come on the board and brag about the shit they have as if it makes them better than everyone else.

I generally like to keep quiet about the successes I've enjoyed and just encourage others. Hell, it's one of those 'If I can do it anyone can do it' kind of things usually anyway.

I posted my car...proud of it too, and ill tell you why.....

becuase before I started to do something for myself, i didnt have a pot to piss in. My parents told me my whole life, that i was the kid in the family they worried about. I was always the black sheep of the family. I was never going to amount to anything. I dropped out of high school. I was always an embarrasment to my family, and they let me know.

I was always looked upon as being lazy and good for nothing, and that i only thought about myself, yet I always felt completely misunderstood. I deeply cared about everyone in my family, and to hear my parents tell me that, was hard to try an understand. But i dealt with it, becuase I always knew, deep in my heart, that I would rise above all of that shit. I was driven my whole life to prove everybody wrong.

The parents who never took anything Ive said my whole life seriuosly.

The math teacher, who would talk to the other students, about how worthless i was going to be when i got older, after i fell asleep in his boring class.

The social studies teacher who said "its a shame he didnt stay in school" to my ex classmates, after i dropped out and won the fake stock market game in his class.

The teachers aid in my art class, who stole my design for the school yearbook cover contest, put his own name on it and won.

The numerous companies ive sent traffic to, that didnt payout, when there were other companies, that had shittier content, that did.

All im saying is that... I dont have a problem with anyone wanting to gloat about what they have accomplished on their own.

Hey, I dont think Im alone, when I say the things above. I would almost bet that most of the people in this business are people that were probably not given alot of chances or oppurtunities, or people that were misunderstood or looked over in school or life. If those types of people want to post their cars, their houses, their boats, and whatever hell else they want...More power to them.

Not saying thats the smartest thing to do, on the internet, but for some people, thats nirvana. Thats what they sacrificed their hard earned time, their so-called freinds, and their morality standing with the rest of societies hipocrits for. To basically say, "hey, to all those who said i wouldnt amount to anything, look what i did with my ideas, and my management skills"

I find the most happy time of my day is taking my dog for a long walk in the park.

Get to smell the roses, the tree's, and only an occasional whiff of dog shit.

I think it's a sign of weakness and insecurity when you hear people come to the board to cut others down. And you are right, some people eat it up and worship those that do it. It's never impressed me to be honest, and I'd imagine most people in the world wouldn't care either.

Im not saying I disagree with Roger on this.

It's one thing to be a rich prick, and or, have the attitude like one. We all know people in the industry who fall into this category.

Ive met alot of people who act like pimps at conventions. lol...i dunno, thats funny to me. I get a kick out of it. Nobody can top the PIMPMUNK!! pimp or no pimp. haha! Seriuosly though, Ive met people who have money, that are seriuosly way too up themselves, and ive met people, who are flat broke, that act like they are loaded, in order to try to impress people.

It just comes down to charactor. I dont think it has anything to do with how much money you have. If someone is an asshole when they come into money......they were probably an asshole, before they had money.

I agree with you.

But thats different then posting a picture of something you've worked hard for, like a car, or boat...

Lets face it...I think the moderators operate this board, in a way, where people are free to say whatever they want. I wouldnt want it any other way. Your always going to have a difference of opinion in a free society. There is always going to be people you dislike, or that dislike you, no matter what you do or say, and vice versa.

With that said, you take what you hear on this board with a grain a salt. Theres always going to be two sides to every story, and theres always going to be someone, who comes out of nowhere to attack you, or just simply disagree.

Basically, its up to you to decide what the real story is, and being this is a free to say whatever you want board, people are freely allowed to hang themselves, business wise, and do so everyday.

If you have people that surround you with trust and respect, even if your not cutting their checks, or have other seriuos business ties with, your probably doing something right, in the being a good person, people can trust department.

But it in way, knowingly or not, your great grandfather may have been trying to tell you something. Kind of a last minute gift if you will, to show you he didnt lose his humor, or his personality, even when he knew his own fate.
Thats a very touching story, and i bet your grandfather was a strong willed person, or very fun to hang out with in his time.

I think that is all good. I think people should be happy of things they've have accomplished whether it's a new car or a new son.

The people you have to shake your heads at are those that make comments like "You don't matter" or "Who are you again?". You get the feeling that those are the ones with the most issues and in a way, you feel sorry for them.

The other day there was someone cutting down a guy about being a nothing. The guy had a wife, 2 kids, and a seemingly nice life. The other guy was some unmarried self-concious jerk who had some money. To me, the guy that has the wife, 2 kids, and a happy family has probably accomplished more in his life than the other guy ever will.

Sometimes I wonder what I work so hard for...

I would like to take a "real" vacation again.

I did...once.

I went to a remote tropical island in the south pacific for 2 weeks. Internet was limited. 14kbs then.

I relaxed so much, i got bored as hell, and started missing home and crappy mcdonalds and burgerking, and taco smell. It was probably the most beuatiful place id have ever seen and been to, and i was treated like a king.

How many days can you snorkel in a tropical paradise, almost totally cut off from society, live on limited resources and have to wait for the next ship, or the ship that can't come into port becuase of rough sea, just in order to wipe your ass with real toilet paper, instead of the biggest leaves you can find, or the paper youve unstartched by wadding it up a million times, cuz the island ran out.

Or the gigantic poisonous centipede or giant island roach that vists your room at night while your trying to go to sleep.

Or the big giant crab that ran off with your plastic garden gnome, or god forbid, your wooden lady bent over the flower bed.

How many times can you ride your moped in a 30 minute circle..... "look kids, big ben, parliment"

Got a favorite food? not for long... eat it enough and youll start eating something crappy just to have something different.

hahaha... take a vacation roger.

You should take your hot girlfriend and your boat on a trip, and make hot pam and tommy videos!

Replying to my own posts is silly, i know, but i wanted to add that even if you are paying someone, or they are paying you, after awhile your going to gain a level of trust in one another, not by the free ipod's or psp's you got in the mail, allthough eh-hmmm (cough) that would be nice (cough, cough), but by paying people on time, and not by just paying your best buddies in the biz, but by paying "everybody" big and small, what they've earned, and hope they reward you in return, by continuing to do honest, and mutaully rewarding business with you in the future.

thats true, but eventually people have to realize they are responsible for their own actions. If they do the crime, its generally not the parents that do the time. Saying I had a rough upbringing doesnt give me a free pass on life.

Sure. Thats why parents should teach love and tolerance. Not hate. They will not go to jail, but they failed. Or did not care.
Actually, in some cultures they still aim for the other family members without bringing in the law. Might sound unreasonable, but biological we are all, and seek to be, a part of a group. At higher levels its racism and wars, which is group weakness. The only one I can think of with success at that level, is Mahatma Gandhi

Good post, Roger. Sometimes it helps to refocus from "Everything to live for" to "Something to live FROM." It's easy to get trapped in the process of "making it" and stop growing as a person. This is one of the most meaningful threads I've come across recently.

Well said, Roger

I disagree I think we are all born pure and kind and society teaches us evil and tries to program us, religion, material objects etc so that we conform

You nailed it.

It's all about balancing your life and I give alot of shit away free all the time.
I dont need much so Our payouts are high because I dont buy razors etc.

If society didnt judge us on what we have I would give them to you right now.
I cant take any of it with me when I die anyway.

I have to show some wealth to show success for business reasons

I completely agree that people shouldnt belittle others based on what they dont have.

But it really cracks me up when people with wealth talk as if material possesions are absolutely meaningless.

Because these people spend an awful long time and put in an extreme amount of work to amass possesions they say are meaningless.

I don't buy it for a second. That would be completely irrational.

That is almost the last thing he ever said.
sad/funny story , i had a family member die , and did something quite similar. He was worried his wallet would be stolen..

This is nothing more than you rationalizing you holding on to your wealth.

if your weath truly meant nothing then you would have absolutely no trouble at all walking away from it... none what so ever..

dude just admit it to yourself that you covet wealth just as much as the next guy. if you didn't you wouldnt have amassed any of it for yourself.

People are petty by nature. And lazy. For the most part, it's easier to try to find dirty secrets, start rumours and trash talk someone in an effort to bring someone down to a level that's lower than your own... rather than to try and work hard and raise yourself to a level that's higher than someone else's.

One method is rewarding to a true winner, the other is rewarding to a true loser.

Thats a very touching story, and i bet your grandfather was a strong willed person, or very fun to hang out with in his time.
It was odd and funny. He always was a fairly funny man and at the same time a penny pincher of epic portions. To everyone that knew him this made complete sense.
