How much should Flash design work cost?
How much would folks say is average to good pay for quality Flash design work for things like the banners on GFY or site nav buttons or small animations, that sort of thing?

well, your hourly rate will be anywhere from 25hr-200hr for anyone worthwhile. Some of the banners on GFY take 8-16 hours.
We do a lot of the takeover ads for many GFY sponsors and they usually take 16-32 hours A full website in flash I would anticipate 80 hours minimum for a kick ass job  Our rate is $35/hr btw ....and make sure you know the difference between just plain tween animations and action scripting. It can make a big difference on the smoothness. Action scripting takes longer than traditional tween animation usually |

$20 per hour for so so work, and about $50 per hour for some good stuff.

depends on a range of factors, there is a big difference in quality of flash designers

I'd expect to pay at least 30 euros an hour for quality stuff. Of course there's a difference between simply tweening JPGs and "real" Flash with good vector graphics, ActionScript etc...
