To inform the people that dont know he died 12 years ago yesterday. Also, Layne Staley, lead singer of Alice in Chains, died 4 years ago yesterday. Two lead singers from the big 5 bands of the era ate it on the same day.

Kurt didn't "die" or "pass"...

He put a shotgun in his mouth and painted the ceiling with brain burger.

It's not like he didn't have the money or means to "ride the white horse" into the afterlife - he had to go and make it messy for the ones he left behind.

Thanks for writing that. We love the music he left. We elevate the artist that he was. But he copped out, he checked out, he took a pass. Because it "hurt" too much. Is that a Hero's path?

Well you have lived your whole life without doing shit, so who is to say?

He did more in his 27 years on this planet than you will ever do in a (full) lifetime, and anyone you know will ever do, and anyone they know will ever do, and so on.

So, is he a hero? Did he take a "hero's path?"

Shit, what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

His effect is influencing the writing of history, to be sure. But, given his final act, how can we characterize his Message? He captured our attention, then voted with a Smith & Wesson in the mouth. You might say the effort of doing what he did was so great that he had nothing left for life. That forgives a great deal. Consider the promise implicit in bringing a child into the world. I dunno, to me it smacks of self-indulgence. I shouldn't have to screw or hurt anybody as a side-effect of being great --

First let me say how odd it was for you to bold the word, "effect" in your post. It smacks of pure, unadulterated retardation.

Maybe it seems "self-indulgent" because you have a tiny mind? Seems like the thicker the skull, the less is understood. How thick is your skull?

I know of millions and millions of humans that made that "implicit promise" yet did more damage being around the child then they would have, had they killed themselves.

Sometimes the simple mind needs to work things out so that everything fits and makes sense according to their simple-minded rules.

For sure, some parents oughtta snuff themselves, rather than do the things they do to their kids. You're right. He mighta been a horrible dad, and done more damage that way than he did by checkin' out. My bolding of "effect" is trying to convey "net".
