There are some pretty big (and loved) programs that haven't been shit on like this and more than a few were exposed here. If you are ignorant about what your own sponsors are doing, it's your own fault. Do your homework - or at least read up once and awhile!

I couldn't agree more with you. However, the point is that reading TOS pages is pointless, if nothing about stuff like this is mentioned on them. That's the only reason why I think this thread should stay active. We need more transparency in this industry, from all parties involved, and I'm sure everyone having posted in this thread will agree that AWE has been anything but transparent and they only addressed the issue once they were called on it.

I'm sure that you and Smokey, and perhaps many others, find it boring and whiny that people keep posting in here and bumping this thread, but that won't decrease the value of the need to do this, so that when sponsors play with your expectations to pull tricks on you, they get called on it in public. The more people ignore issues like this, regardless of who the sponsor is, the deeper we stick our heads in the sand and turn a blind eye on dubious practices, which hurt this industry as a whole.

Summary for everybody who is catching this thread.

AWE only pays 14 days rev share. Not a lifetime for a customer.

WHY? AWE doesn't believe you deserve it.

Don't get me wrong, all i'm trying to say is that i think if one considers himself a webmaster and DOES work a decent number of hours a day, working with a site that does offer anything to surfers, and uses targetted traffic, in the end of the day will make sales.

The above statement negates the entire premise of revshare, since most affiliates are under the assumption that revshare for most (or all) programs is lifetime. Do any other programs operate on this temporary or time limited revshare premise? I (and I'm sure others) would like to know who's doing this as well.

I am looking right now for other cam programs that do this kind of practice.

Shame on AWE.

TheSenator 04-08-2006 10:13 AM

hmm.... can't find any yet.

Well, they DO share the revenue for the first two weeks, so it is revshare. :1orglaugh
