I understand your approach but you don't have to be aggressive when you approach the guy and tell him to quit acting the fool. I respect non-violence and non-agression but for future reference don't let it get past the first instance. If your lady doesn't get it across to a guy the first time it's your job to get the point across immediately in no uncertain terms.
