So who wants to get married and have kids?

Been thinking about this latly since I turned 30.

Is it really worth throwing away your freedom and crazy single life for?

My advice is that if you're debating on whether to "throw your single life away" you shouldn't.

I want to get married but I don't ever want kids. I don't want to give birth, I don't think I can endure it and I'm afraid of a c-section. I am one of those wussies that would probably chose an elective c-section (like Britney and Posh Spice did) with me totally put asleep (I'd rather get cut than have to push it out), but even that doesn't seem too appealing.

I also really don't like kids too much, I'd rather be "free".

Chaze, if you're 30 and are still considering putting the wild crazy single and obviously low class and insignificant life, over a family, then you have some serious problems.

Turning 33 in 2 days. Married two kids big ass mortgage suv, whole nine yards. Love it. Wouldnt change it for anything. Did the single thing for 26 or 27 years. Its only fun for awhile. Then it starts to just feel empty, and there is a void that no amount of pussy or dope, or money, or alcohol can fill.

Yea but that's the problem with most of the douchebags in the adult industry. They think living the single life is the shit, and they do it til they're 40, or hell even later. I highly doubt they enjoy it for that long, unless they're ignorant. But if you want to live a meaningless life like most people in the adult industry, to each his own.

I'll sum it up in one sentence for you.

Getting married and raising children will be the absolute most rewarding, yet absolute most challenging, experience of your entire life.

5 is still the fun stage. When they hit their teens though and start the stage where they want to spend more time having fun with their friends instead of you its a whole new emotional experience to deal with and accept.

I'm getting married in June, and I'm 42, I will turn 43 in May. I've never been married before, and what the hell is wrong with that? Everyone is different. I'm absolutely ready and eager to start a family, I"m with the most amazing women ever, I"m looking forward to spending the rest of my life with her, and we plan to have kids right away.

I've known plenty of guys that got married in their 20s and then 20 years later they are wondering if they missed something. They find themselves in a bar wondering "What would it be like to be with a girl like that?". I KNOW what it would be like. I haven't missed anything, I've been around the block so many times that I know every crack in the sidewalk, and now I'm completely and utterly ready, in every aspect of my life, to be a devoted husband and father.

It's silly to be so judgemental of other people's lives or the schedules by which they live them. Just because people don't live their lives exactly the way YOU do does not make them "meaningless"

I wasn't critisizing marriage or telling you what point in your life you have to get married. I was critisizing the losers in the adult industry who think the single and crazy life is a meaningful one..

I'm 31 years old, I've been with my wife for a little over 15 years now, married for 5 and a half of those. We have 3 children, 4, 8, and 13. I've only fucked 2 women in my life, my wife and my girlfriend of 3 years before her.

I know that I didn't have any chances to play the field, but I wouldn't want it any other way. I love having a family. I can go out to the bar with the guys and not have to worry about trying to pick someone up, I get to come home to my beautiful wife.

The nice thing is that we've stoped at 3 children, so when the last one turns 18, I'll be 45 years old and will be able to enjoy my middle aged years and the grand children.

It's kinda funny because I have a couple of friends that would love to have a family of their own, one is 24 and one is 32, but things just never click for them.

I guess that it all depends on your situation. If you're with a woman that you feel that you love and want to spend the rest of your life with, by all means marry her, but definately don't rush into things and also try to live with her for a while before you propose because some people can date fine, but once they live together, they can't get along. I had a cousin that got married before moving in together because it was "morally right", but it ended up being a nightmare.

doing both changes the dynamics drastically.

since you seem to like your single life (like some of us do and there's nothing wrong with that), then i think you have answered your own question.

i think everyone who meets someone of a different level thinks the same way at first. remember, it's lust before love and if you can get past the lust, and deal with the fact that your relationship will level out, then you may have a chance, but.....

I completely agree with Michael, to each his own. No one can really pass judgement on how other people decide to live their lives. Jeremy and I talked to michael alot about it in CR and I not only respect him for how he did it but want to go about it the same way. I have alot of friends getting married now in their mid/early twenties, and they're really happy so more power to them, but i personally want to live my life without any regrets at all, especially about getting experience with women. I wanna 'sow my oats', experience everything i can, and then when eventually settle down with a strong, confident beautiful woman who has also experienced everything and isnt ever going to long for anything but me.

I met Michael's wife and partied with them both. she's a GREAT girl and i wish them the best!

I'm 33 now, was married in 95 we had one child in 96 then another in 99 in 2001 was divorced *thank god* I got custody of both my boys, It has been very hard to say the least at raising two kids by myself BUT I WOULD NEVER ever trade it in for anything! I love my kids they are my life/friend they are the reason I breath! I love being single with no bags attached to my ass, I like having no girl friend, I love being alone sort of speak! Women are too much of a pain in the ass, and if I was a women I would think the same about men! I do think at times about what it would be like to have another women in my life, then I wake the fuck up and remember how it was to have a women in my life!!!

Maybe one day I may change my mind, but till then I am happy with raising my two kids and living for them! Sex is over rated imo and so is marriage!
