The munchkin has to wear one when he spars.

I asked his father to take him and deal with it, and that didn't happen.

No surprise there, but that is an aside.

I bought him a dealy at walmart, where it was like underwear with a pouch built in it. The actual cup is hard plastic, and kind of looks like a teardrop.

When I put it in the pouch, I put it so that the fullest curve of it was at the bottom.

He bitched the entire time today about how it was uncomfortable and chafing.

Did I put it in wrong??? I have no freakin' clue. Did I buy the wrong kind? Or are they generally uncomfortable?

I played football all through HS and some college. My expertise says:
POWDER THAT FUCKER. Make sure its the right size. DO NOT BUY THEM AT WALMART.

Gimme a ring next time youre in the neighborhood, something to discuss with you.

I played both football and rugby throughout HS and college. My best suggestion is tell'em to wear underwear (briefs, not boxers) under the jock strap 'n cup. Helps cut down on the chafing.

My freshmen year of high school I had to wear one that came from K-mart.
