Definitely one of the companies with the absolute worst support in our industry. I've never seen anything like it. You know my vote.

i'd rather deal with Epass then deal with paypal. PayPal just says stfu, ignores you, and keeps your money.

There are THOUSANDS of cases of paypal doing that.

I wish I could post a link to the site where thousands of people talk about it, but I can't cuz it has a forum

epass took care of the problem I had with them. Good guys, you just need to get their attention sometimes, and forget about calling support.

It would be nice if they hired qualified staff instead of eye candy. Eye candy doesn't help on email and phone support.

Having a your teeth pulled isn't too bad, getting a root canal is a fun time though. Except weekly unannounced downtime, epass has been pretty good to me.

thing is, customer support shouldn't depend on who you know. any customer should be able to get a satisfactory response.

I agree 100%. I'm just liking Epassporte today because Big Chris pulled thru bigtime for me.

Truth is customer support is something alot of companies suck at. Not only in our industry but across North America. Everybody is trying to be automated and remove the human aspect and as a result support blows.

I have never had problems with Epassporte, ask to speak to Linda Yoo, she is ace and always sorts all my problems out

Now try talking to paypal, then you will have issues!

I do notice that about US companies especially, they really don't want to make it easy for you to just call them. dealing with eBay for example is a total pain.

Hating on pay pal is like the ultimate urban legend in the internet world. Everybody claims they just take your money, their only responses are STFU or too bad via customer support. Saying you will have a hard time trying to deal with customer support or talking to them.

How come all of these stories are rarely first hand and even more rarely claimed when somebody was not breaking the rules in some fashion.

I have dealt with pay pal for years. Never have I had my account frozen/money taken. I did however have one transaction that ended up reversing funds for awhile and took about twenty days to clear up. That was purely the fault of an attempted eBay scammer. Pay pal of course took the needed steps and after a reasonable period of time I got the funds back.
I have had them lock my account a few times due to suspicious log in attempts. I have also had them phone me a few times when there was considerable activity on my debit card to ensure I was making those charges.

I have dealt with email support and it was pain free, easy to follow, and I was able to get the answers I needed without some cloud of mystery or vagueness. I have also dealt with them via phone support numerous times. Not once was I put off, the person did not have an answer, nor the person could not rectify my situation quickly. I have even had them call a merchant for me to inform them yes the funds were in transit and that the bank was the cause of delay.

Then as an added plus pay pal always asks you to rate how well customer service did. Both email and or phone support do their best to get your feedback and try to see how they can better serve you.

Honestly trying to compare both companies together is akin to comparing fiber optics communication with Indian smoke signals.

I'm in the unique position of having undergone 29 tooth extractions in a two-hour operation (3 years ago) - and I also deal with epassporte.

No comparison, of course. I wouldn't wish 29 extractions on my worst mortal enemy.

As for comparing epassporte to Paypal (we've dealt with Paypal for years also)....I'd take epassporte any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Our experience with them so far has been quite positive and I can't think of anything negative to say.

No kidding, one is one of the biggest cooparations in the world, the other one is a 5 man shop setup on some island in the middle of nowhere. Paypal probably does more transactions an hour, than epass does whole year.
