![]() I just noticed myself doing this yet again so i thought i would mention it..
I saw a banner on the top of gfy while i was replying to a message, i was interested and wanted to click it , but i right clicked on it , and it was a flash file so i couldnt "open in new window". Because some of the advertsisers make flash banners to target="_top" not target="_blank" in flash i didnt want to click it because it might make me leave the message i was replying to.. I have found myself doing this quite a few times .Each time i think ( ill remember to open that up next time i see it , and i never do ..) So a few advertisers have lost a potential client ( me) simply because there isnt a standard rule on banner advertising.. their banner might have even targetted "_blank" but theres no way to tell beforehand.. So my suggestion is to ask your advertisers to target all banners to a blank window when its in flash so its not confusing.. and to let us know so i wont have to worry about it anymore heh .. /end piddly rant

I hate those flash ads. Sometimes you have to wait forever to see who the company actually is. I like to put my mouse over them to see if I already know who it is (so don't need to go look if I've looked previously etc.) but you can't do that with the flash ones so I just go back to doing what I was doing.
Some people need to learn how to actually market things instead of making pretty banners. But that's just my opinion and I know nothing. |
