MSN Pay Per Click Beta, Anyone Liking it?

I've been trying out the new MSN PPC SE the last 3-4 days and I have to say the quality of traffic is superb (much better than Adwords / Overture) and at only 5c / click but the editorial policies are absolutely brutal by comparison. Getting your keywords approved is much harder (and I typically have an 80% submission success ratio with Overture) and getting anything accepted into MSN is tough as hell.

I was curious how other Beta testers are finding MSN's engine?

I've applied for a QuickLaunch account, and am waiting approval.
I'm surprised to hear their policies are so tough, I already dumped Overture for being overly strict!

I too have applied, but not being in the USA I'm not sure if i'll be accepted into their beta. It's quite interesting that you say the traffic is a great performer, but on the other hand a bummer that they are stricter than Overture. Something that I really hoped they wouldn't be, perhaps with time they will work out that being anal pisses people off.

The traffic quality will drop as more advertisers come in. They're rotating the ads on MSN USA 25% of the time right now. And you can get accepted into their beta as I'm Canadian and was invited a few weeks ago.

I've generally found the quality of msn's traffic has been better than google's in organic serps! My findings anyways <",)

I like MSN Search. My site is #2 for sexy girls + "sexy girls". ;) Much better traffic and about 10x more then Google even.

VERY buggy. If I do a search, sometimes the entire thing hangs and i have to reset IE to get back into my account. Can't even click back, that hangs too. No idea how they managed to crash it so bad that I have to close IE, lol.

I get like 10% of my keywords accepted. Their reasons are extremely strict and they're even worse than overture (I never thought that was possible).

Do you have to use seperate landing pages, every one of my listings has been rejected, not only for most of my keywords, but also "They Say" due to the content on the site?!?!

Searching desperately for an invite for the last 2 days
So i am the next on the waiting list if anybody has a spare one and would be so nice to mail me one: defresto {*} defresto.com

Another big player wants a piece of the PPC-Pie
Interesting who will win this war.
Google guys don't care about clients and let them pay for hitbot traffic.
I have tested google adwords traffic with my behaviour-analyser and 18% were hitbots!

You think msn is going to do a much better job. I just see hitbots as part of the game, they got to be expected

There's sooooo much less traffic, but the traffic I do get converts 10x better than adwords. So all in all I am happy. Just wish I could multiply this traffic 1000 fold.

Finally got up and running and discovered very quickly that MSN does NOT like Firefox ... site completely breaks. Still waiting for approval on first round of keywords, but the process wasn't exactly easy or intuitive.

I'm #1 on several big keywords in MSN - that's great, but there's no traffic coming in. 90% gotta be using Google when searching the web. Fuck whatever figure Microsoft claims they got.

Do you guys think its worth the time work with other PPC engins out side of big 3. http://searchenginewatch.com/reports...le.php/2156451 , the big 3 makes up 80%.

Once they go public and get out of beta, it should increase by 400%. They're only displaying their ads 25% of the time in the US market right now.

Oh hell yeah. The CPC rates are much lower on other engines. I use the big 3 for volume, I use the rest for higher profits.

I hate to say it but the SEO seminars I've attended have never been that great. It's probably easier to attend just the exhibits and mingle with the crowd as opposed to paying the exorbant fees for the seminars. I do have a pretty strong background in SEO so I didn't find the seminars very beneficial. The networking and contacts I made were better in my opinion.

So is anyone that is using it submitting and getting adult ads approved or are you just submitting mainstream ads? I got an invitation a few months ago but never bother to sign up when I saw their content guidelines specifically prohibited adult related ads. I just ran some searches on popular porn keywords and the only adult ads I see are for that nightsurf.com site.
