CBC is fairly good. Now they're saying 4000 people dead from their Global Radio News correspondent. That seems more likely than the huge numbers CNN is reporting. First time that stuff slammed me in the face and I was made aware was when a hurricane hit and 12,000 were killed in Central America.
That got a write up in a very small section of the back page of the US national press.
