Yeah, I'd be in the same boat except I've got that fucked Thompson drive, so my Xbox hasn't worked right for almost a year.

The local Best Buy has had them quite a bit since Christmas, but we wanted one before the holidays... so we went to eBay. I ended up paying $650 plus shipping for a Premium one, plus extra controllers and game. I think the retail price was $500, so I only paid an extra $150.

I was chomping at the bit... but then the bit fell off. So I glued it and chomped some more and got kinda high off the glue, then I chomped till I chipped a tooth. So I glued that cause I figured more glue in my mouth couldn't be a bad thing, till I fell and the bit got me in the eye. Now I'm a one eyed chip toothed bit chomper.

I guess you could say I bit off more than I could chew.

I called the 1800 # they shipped me a free overnight shipping label there and back. And a free box to ship the xbox360 in.

Seems I called them 9-12 months ago about the regular xbox and I was told I would have to pay for shipping with or without a warranty.

I'd love one, except they ain't out in .AU yet. They were ment to be out March 2nd, but due to "unprecidented global demand" we get screwed another 3 weeks, 23rd March now, apparently. I was also in the books to try pick one up end of last year through importers; was hoping through lik-sang.com but, they never distributed the US consoles due to the fact they couldn't get em.

i got 3 xbox 360, sold one though.

1. bestbuy.com i'm a reward zone member so i got a special preorder link. received day of launch
2. slept outside of walmart the night before
3. preorder at ebgames.

sold the core version on ebay for 699$... one premium on in living room and i'm installing the other core system w/ HD in my car in 2wks. =)~

but anyway check bestbuy and target weekly. they usually get like 3-5 systems in
