So true. I mean, we already give our girls freebies and treat them well. If they need to leave earlier than the other 3, then I will do all their scenes, and get them on their way. We also will give them gift cards, and sometimes businesses will give me a stack of those discount type coupons which I just give to the girls at shoots. Plus I respect them, and I am all business. All the girls have complimented me directly, or said something that's gotten back to me that they like working for me/us.

I think the biggest endorsement is when/if they start referring their friends. You are obviously doing something right if they want to come back, and they are bringing, or sending friends to you. Not that the referral fee/thank you is a lot of money, but it's a nice way to give them some added appreciation which pays off a lot more than the dollars.

As for the pimphats, yeah. They all claim they know all the hotties, and can get them to do anything. I always laugh in their face, and tell them once you tell them it's going to be on-line, and they have to sign a model release, and so on (it's not just some whatever going on at a party) they will balk. And they do.

I have some that say they can deleiver, but want to come to a few shoots first before they "line em up". Ha! Just another way to get into watching girls kissing, and so on. We do not allow spectators in our shoot. If a girl needs to bring the bf for a ride, or to the first shoot fine. He can bring her, but he doesn't get to watch. He can go do something else in town, or he has to stay out of the rooms we shoot in. So they are not 'watching' anything. And I make this clear up front.

As for them previewing shit. They're not going to. So I tell them, nice try. Thanks but no thanks. It's a lot more than just referring someone to me. They have to be 'qualified' for lack of better word. Meaning, then have to be nice looking AND down for what we do. Just sending random women my way is not a "hook up".

Yep. Our rates are this, and while we do pay them more the more we use them, and if good, we do not advertise it. They just start getting bonuses as time goes on. This keeps them from asking us, and also keeps people from trying to 'negotiate' with us because they know there is more money to be had.

Yeah, you need a good mix. Especially if you are running multiple sites, and they are all networked in the niche market. People do not wanna see the same girls, just different scenes released back to back on all sites. So I try and stagger everything. These two or three this week, and these two on another, and these 4 on another. That way people do not get tired of seeing them, forcing me to find new all the time. Plus they get a variety, and that keeps them more happy and rebilling.

I wanna say it was Aaron M, but there were a few people who told me some of the keys to using the 'alternatives' when looking for talent. Underground messageboards, newspapers, college things, and networking groups. So I took some of their advice, and trial and errored until I found something that worked.

I am too shy to be contacting people, or just walking up to people on the street and flipping them business cards. I needed a convention that would line them up, and bring them to me. So through my methods, that is why I tinkered with, and developed to the point I really have to do little active promotion any more.

Which is VERY nice.

Just hired one a few weeks back. I think the girls would be more comfortable with a female photographer, and recruiter. Especially one who's done it for us. So hopefully this girl will be able to fill those voids.

I do fine, and the girls all like me, and I am easy going, and have good rapport with them all. I just think that it's easier on everyone, and will shorten the recruiting cycle.

When you are a male, in this business, they all think you are some creep from the get go, and have their guards up. So a female doing it would help ease the tentions, and get the meeting, to shoot ratio closed to a tighter gap.

You know this thread has been refreshing for me. What started out as just trying to find some information on good areas for filming. Ended up in me locating a couple of pretty decent people.

Like I said, I've been slugging it for soooo long in my area I began to think there must have been something wrong in the way I conducted my business. But it just reaffirms my beliefs that I'm just dealing with cultural problems. ((And ended up with me calling my attorny! Bad mouth me will they? Well I can fix that...))
