Strange PC Problem, Any Experts Ready to Help?
Recently my PC has begun to show some strange behaviour. I have this central socket with a switch where all my plugs go to. Since a few weeks I need to switch the central socket on and leave it on for like 15 mins before I can switch on the PC itself, otherwise it just won't switch on.
The time that I need to leave the switch on keeps getting longer and longer and I do not have a single clue what could cause this. Your help is much appreciated.

Can you turn on other things plugged into the central socket during those 15 minutes? Have you tried plugging the PC directly to a wall jack to make sure there isn't actually a problem with it?

The other electronics like printer, monitor, sound system all turn on immediately, it's only the PC.

Sounds like you need to do a bit of testing. One possibility is your powersource overheating within your computercase. Try plugging it directly into the wall first, and if that works, you've found your problem. But if it still acts up, I would look into the possibility of replacing the powersupply if you are really attached to your case, or the entire case itself.

hrm when I leave the central socket switched on all night (and the machines plugged into it turned off) the PC starts up without any problems in the morning.
Kind of odd.
