Who here has a flash (tankless) water heater?
Our regular gas water heater has been leaking and will cost around $500 to replace.
But I have been reading about these... http://www.homeclick.com/showpage.as...odlst&manufid= http://www.homeclick.com/showpage.as...odlst&manufid= Supposedly they use half the energy. Does anyone have one? |

They use those things here in Mexico all the time. What a piece of shit. When our new house was built, I told them to put in a large tank heater. No, they put in one of these squemish things. When I found I couldn't get hot water, I noted that the water flow on the hearter was 7lpm. They had it hooked to a pressurization system that was rated at 22lpm. Evidently, Mexicans can't do the math. I tore the fucker off the wall, threw it in the field across the street and got a 190ltr res. type and it works great. Jaquzzi ALWAYS has hot water now!!!!!

So it sounds like it's a good idea to accurately estimate the gallons per minute you'll need before buying one.
Absolute maximum being two showers going at once. Get the temp set up just right and then shut off the cold and measure into buckets the GPM of the hot and double that. Cost of opperation... Electric vs. gas... Just compare this to tank heaters. |

thats a regular heater, weve got that in Holland, everyone has one. Built in water compartiment for immediate hot water, and central heating as well. Got one here too.
Make sure you read stuff bout that, installation isnt cheap and there is a LOT of difference.
