Why does xbiz suck? If it sucks so bad then why do you people vote for the winners? Most of you love it untill someone you dont like wins or you lose yourself. So explain yourself why is xbiz a joke?

kinda funny a winner of an award sticks up for them ;)

and a winner wouldnt ignore 80 phone calls just because you don't want to deal with the person. thats not proper business ethics.

maybe next year the xbiz award will goto someone else, now that we have seen the true colors of split

Xbiz is doing a damn good job compared to some of the competition that don't give a shit about webmasters.

people vote for the nominations, then a panel of judges who xbiz selects choose the awards. many times, the judges are nominees themselves, in addition to being paid advertisers of xbiz.

the bottom line is, a lot of the award winners end up being paid advertisers of xbiz.

Better yet, how are they a joke? I would have to say that they are doing pretty well for themself. I have watched Helmy Enterprises grow, and I don't see any indication of them being a joke.

They sure have a lot of employees for a "joke."

2 years ago I remember them posting the judging panel publicly and i remembered seeing nominees end up winners, and some of them were on the judging panel. The specific example I remember was webair. Xbiz runs a great newspaper, their awards need to be less biased. Just look at how many winners this year are or have been advertisers on xbiz.

Splitinfinity does not get paid to advertise xbiz nor were we even a sponser for xbiz only web host i saw that had paid advertising was web air, and we won? so what are you trying to say? We won because we are good at what we do, regardless of what many of you guys say or think. I would think xbiz rules wethier we win again or not, what there doing is great for the buisness and most of you know it. so why sit here and start a thread that makes them look like shit.

If you have something against the awards then the title of your post should have read "xbiz awards are a joke." You can't look at Xbiz as a whole and think they are a joke.

You think Bishop judged the VOD division?

BTW, that looks like an old list considering Leslie isn't with Vivid, and Jim isn't with Dreamtank.

It just proves the back stabbing in this industry once again.
No sense in fooling yourself into thinking otherwise.

Gonna mark this one down as a lesson.

Don't know the source, so I can't say. I only know that 2 of the judges are named with companies they used to work for, so I am guessing it is an old list . . . just not sure how old.

I think there is one more.
Yes, It was me..........and the way the process is, you only get a certain segment to vote on and definetly not a category that you may be nominated in.

Sad I know most of them people almost all of them, now its an even bigger mystery why I didnt even get nominated.

So much for thinking I had friends in this biz.
Aint that a bitch.
2006 is definatly gonna be an enlightening year for me I can already tell.
List is true. But i think nominations are done by the public, then voted on by the Judges.

It's the public who didn't like your shit. And yes tahts the 2005 list.

Mansion has been or is a winner. The same for Playa Solutions if I'm not mistaken.
