I haven't tried a mexican tamal, but i don't think they are that different from the ones we do here. I ate 2 tamales yesterday they were so good, my grandma did a good job this Xmas!!

Back north there was a supplier of authentic foods from south of the border. They have corn husk wrapped tamales that are as good as any made by any grandma.

I use to go to a little town in Mexico called San Cateen I think and there was always this old couple that walked the beach with a bucket full of home made tomales, they were the best!! But by then I was always on my 3 sixpack of corona!

Baddog...if you like tamales you have to go to LA INDIANA in East LA.
The trek is worth it. You have to stand in line for about 45 min but holy cow those are the best damn tamales I have ever eaten |
