Believe it or not but I had my very first tamale (after 31 years) the other night when my girl and I went out to dinner. I am certainly a creature of habit and usually stick with the things I like rather than venturing off onto other parts of the menu.
I decided to get a little wild the other night and ordered the tamale....I didn't like it.
Not sure exactly why but I think it was because it was mildly sweet and I didn't expect that.
