moving from virtual to dedicated with no downtime?

is it actually possible to move from a virtual acct to a dedicated server and have virtualy no downtime?

Why not? Set up the dedicated first, make sure everything works and after that change the DNS (or if you're keeping in the same host, have them change to where it points).
