How many of you remember Atari 2600?

I just bought one off of Ebay. What was your favorite game?

Adventure, Jungle Hunt, Ms-Pac Man were some of my favorites

This is a pretty cool Atari site with roms and info:

Spiderman, or E.T.. what was the one where you were either a helicopter and a tank and you battled another person? Was it called just "Tank" ?

Ah ya beat me to it.. yep that was it! As far as ET is concerned, I don't know if the cartridge was bad or what, but it always errored after about 2 minutes.. I was real young when I had it though, and loved to pop it in almost daily to see if maybe it would work lol

Must have been the cartridge. Mine worked fine. I was pretty young then too.

I picked up a Namco Museum for my Sony PSP so I could play some of the old games. I had an Atari 2600, and my friend had an Intellivision.

Both were before my time ;) NES was released in the US the year I was born, but by the time I was 5 or so my dad had pulled out his old Atari for me. Got NES 5 years later, and to this day still play Super Mario Brothers 1 & 3 or Contra

I have Namco Museum for Xbox, no substitute for the real thing though. I had to have a real Atari 2600. Playing Pac-Man with a different system and controller isn't the same.

Download Nesticle (NES emulator) and some free NES ROM games and you can play NES on you computer exactly like the original.

And the msx also had some killer games. Having all those systems setup next to eachother ready to play would be nice.

I just checked a Dutch ebay like site. Amiga 500's including screen, joysticks, tons of games. 50 bucks. Its very appealing.

Even better, if you can find an old NES controller they now make adapters for NES, N64, PS2, etc. controllers so you can plug them in to your USB port. Just bought one for an N64 controller last week

I've played around with those, but it isn't the same and I'd like to have a real one for a collectible.

Yeah, I have a PS2 controller. Nintendo games only use 2 buttons, so it's pretty similar.

The IIc was more portable, but lacked expansion slots. I think the IIc might have had more ram too(I think it was 128k). Ha, I remember downloading porn via a modem(the graphics sucked) and racking up big long distance charges on it lol. So, I had to sell it then There seemed to be a lack of games for it though compared to Commodore 64. I had Might and Magic 3, Wizardry, and like the 1st version of John Madden Football on it.

The only game I can remember playing on the Apple was called King's Quest I believe.. I only ever used that, a text editor, and a greeting card creator

The amazing part, was the price on the 2600 when it came out. it was either 149.99 or 249.99 I don't recall exactly, I just remember I was in shock when I opened it up on Christmas. I think it was 249 because I remember it was priced high enough that I didn't even ask for it.

edit......thinking while I was typing. looked it up.

My brother had Atari 135 Xe, the best games I remember that I played in these times were Zorro, Spy vs Spy and Jet Set Willy. Lol those 20 minutes loading times were really annoying. After that I got Amiga 600 on christmas, that was best game system I would think about now and of course because I was young in those times

Maybe I will buy again Amiga 600 and refresh some memories from the childhood.
Does anyone remember game called ATR or Skidmarks for Amiga?
