No shit! Are you for serious?

Can't wait for that.

split_joel 12-31-2005 10:17 AM

very serous chris has already given me the chance to try it out on my cell, doesnt work perfect yet but its freaking amazing, you could buy a phone with data serverices and like no more then 10 minutes of phone time you go to a website loads a script that turns your phone into voip. its quite sexy

SplitInfinity 12-31-2005 03:01 PM

Yep, Im VERY serious about that. Stay tuned for all the details.... Ill announce that part of it and how to use it shortly after new years...

SplitInfinity 12-31-2005 03:04 PM

Funny stuff: I'm in Big Bear right now at a Cabin that has NO telephone service.
It does however have cable TV and a cable modem.... So Im making and receiving all my calls on my laptop from here with a headset. Works perfectly even on the worst
cable modem network ever. Very nice to be sitting in the snow with our VoIP network technology backing me up.

:-)

Gotta love technology. It just keeps getting better. :pimp
Cant wait until this is released, I'll be the first in line to buy a voip enabled phone. :thumbsup

Happy New Years to everyone at split & the beta testers. :thumbsup :xmas-smil

Notice: Today, January 1st, we had a glitch happen due to the date change.
A cron job failed when the year changed over and took down the voip clusters.
This has been fixed.

Thanks to those who reported the issue.

Regards,
Chris

Everything is running flawless so far! :thumbsup :thumbsup

Looking forward to testing this out.

Thanks for the help, Chris! :thumbsup :thumbsup

Email sent. Looking forward to setting it up here in no time.

This thread deserves to be on top. :thumbsup

Welcome aboard Lace!

webcrawler, you've got mail.

KingK7 01-03-2006 02:51 PM

Did something happen with the service?
When I try to call out now, I get a:
"Call failed: 404 not found"

emthree 01-03-2006 02:57 PM

I just checked. I'm having the same issues with international 011 numbers.
Local numbers seem to be going through just fine. I will try a few more.

SplitInfinity 01-03-2006 04:25 PM

I will check into that, however nothing has happened to the service... I have been
calling people all day on it.

SplitInfinity 01-03-2006 05:08 PM

I found out what the problem you were having was....

"ariel was testing redundancy between international routes
and carriers. It caused a call termination hiccup"

I am told this was a temporary issue.

moneymotivates 01-03-2006 05:09 PM

thanx split! bump bump for the voip train!

:winkwink:

Hotrocket 01-03-2006 06:51 PM

just got mine set up...using the softphone lite version

Works great so far..made 2 calls and no probs..only issue was a little clicking/ticking sound..when I spoke or the person spoke to me..not bad..just barely audible.

More calls to make, including a cpl international calls so I'll report back on that as well
Thanks! :thumbsup

Fah King 01-03-2006 08:30 PM

I gotta say, this is really promising. I use it a lot... I like it better when I'm on the computer then normal phone... if the 800 # start working in canada I'm DEFINITLY buying a wireless phone

Nice. I like this set up much better, it sounds more 'professional'. :thumbsup

Yes much nicer. It was hard to hear what she said the way it was before. Only issue Im having is if I have the softphone on on my desktop and login with my laptop it logs me out on desktop, but still says logged in. I have to exit the program and relaunch the program. So there are times it says its logged in, but calls go straight to voice mail. Just a minor problem, nothing that bad. Id like to hook up one landline with the ethernet adapter soon. Can we buy those directly from you, or is there a specific place we should go etc?

Also caught your interview on Internextlive stream. Nice job Chris, and Joel. I heard the about the affiliate programs, and Im very interested in that. Ive been looking for a new mainstream project, and I see tons of potential in this one. Give me a call Chris when you get back and get a chance. Ext 5003

Deb 01-07-2006 10:11 PM

*perk* mainstream affiliate opportunity? I'd be interested in hearing more about that also. :)

Well from what he said on the interview you could open your own storefront, or I'm assuming your own website to sell the service as your own VOIP company with their backing. Im quite interested in this. I see VOIP as possibly replacing cell phones even in the near future.

Yngwie 01-07-2006 10:34 PM

I'm still waiting for the package.

WOW, thanks for that info sticky. I'm ALL over this one, if it comes to fruition. I was talking to Chris earlier and I told him that I am loving this service so far, and that I beleive in it SO much, that I'm wanting to just get rid of my current land line and go with this permanently. And that's saying alot, because I am not one to easily 'change'. lol

I'm always patient :)

Hotrocket 01-11-2006 08:45 PM

Just called Melbourne, Australia...worked great!..
a lil static for a cpl secs once, but overall about the same as a reg phone call overseas.
I think I need to get a reg phone or adapter so I can do the wirelss thing...being tied to the puter is the only drawback..and that's just being picky

Thanks again Chris :thumbsup

Split - are there any known problems happening with the system today?
I just tried to make a couple of calls, and each time it said:

"Connecting...
Call failed: 408 timeout"

Any idea what might be causing this?

Deb 01-14-2006 09:20 AM

Two hundred. :)
