I haven't gotten a reply to my email yet either. :(
|
did the e-mails ever go out? I never got a response.
|
They are coming, one by one.... we have lots of people going live right now, so thanks for being patient.
:-) |
International numbers may be dialed as follows:
011 + country code + number |
All setup. Works awesome! Im just about 95% sure Ill be going to this system completly and dropping our land lines. I added you to my ICQ split. Have a couple questions for you. :thumbsup :thumbsup
|
My email must have been lost, I've sent it from my gmail account.. :Oh crap
|
did my email get received?
|
hi Chris, I also sent you an email about beta testing. thanks.
|
I'm up and running also. :)
It's been good for the most part. I've had a couple of calls 'drop' on me, but that could be attributed to my DSL as opposed to your VOIP system. Overall, it's very stable and I'd consider keeping it permanently, instead of signing up with Vonage. :thumbsup |
fidy phones?
|
If your beta account has not yet been activated, then it will be shortly. Were getting
everyone hooked up as fast as we can. Feel free to email me for a status report. [email protected] |
You need anyone to test it from Sweden?
|
if you would like to test it just hit me up :thumbsup

Joel,
We have a few lines at the office with packet8, I will do some beta for you - and put it too good use. will send you an email. thanks Todd |
Sent an email, not sure if you need any beta testers in the UK though
|
Notice to all beta testers and future beta testers:
We have secure two more additional high end call aggregators and voice quality should be VERY good (it always has been, but its even more gooder now. hehehe) We should have much fewer dropped calls and etc. Hows it going everyone? |
Going fine ... never had a call dropped.
|
Am I too late to get in on this :)
I live in USA, connecticut. email croc at ablewise dot com |
Going smooth...
Got some things to figure out with you, just got started. Otherwise very pleased so far, no dropped calls at all, US calls are good quality, international is decent, needs more testing though. :thumbsup Steve |
My only questions concern how to get incoming calls, and what username/pw you use with voicemail. Your on my icq. Im sure you are busy with all this, but Im going out of town tommorow night and would like to see if I can receive calls on my laptop while away. Thanks in advance!! :thumbsup
|
I haven't had a call 'drop' since I made that last post, so I guess those call aggregators that you added, did their job. :thumbsup
Quality is still very good and I'm a happy camper. :) How do we go about setting up the voicemail? |
Its not to late to get in on the beta.... im still signing poeple up now.
Also, in regards to how to receive calls.... I will post a solution shortly. To answer the obvious, YES you can have your own phone number. |

Damn, interesting stuff. So how does this work?
I never understood how it got transfered from pc2phone. Will this service allow all international countries to be called? What's the pricing plans etc? Might be interested in getting it for someone, who has family abroad. |

Note to all: I have been messing with the configurations tonight, so any instabilities you see were caused by me intentionally.
Sperminator, you will be set up, just be patient and you will get a setup email soon. This is in high demand and its going slow to set everyone up. You will be added soon. |
For those interested, your voice mail is being setup!
You ask "When will mine be setup".... I answer, "Its happening". You ask "When will I know its been setup".... I answer, "Dial 1" If you get "IM sorry" its not If you get mailbox, enter your user id number as the username and password. :-) Cheers. Watch as I add more features. |
Oh, and special thanks to those who changed their sigs! :-)

Just a general tip for anyone using SplitInfinity's service with a cisco pix firewall. I do not work for SplitInfinity, i am only one of their beta testers trying to help the others out.
The pix firewall as you may know denys all unless explicitly allowed. Heres a tip to allow you fellas using the cisco product to get around this. Locate the ACL which effects your network segment. Do this by: " show access-group " (you will need to know which interface your traffic is going through) For this example im going to use " outbound " as my example. Now add the following line: access-list outbound udp permit any host aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd Replace aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd with the address in which jester emailed you. Test out your soft phone, likly it will still say something about timing out. No worries, Click on the button to the right of "clear". Click on "System Settings" Double click on "Sip Proxy" Now double click on the appropriate proxy. Reference the email jester sent you if you forget. Im not going release any of their connect info :) Now change "Send Internal IP" from default, to always. finished =) You can tighten security by restricting it to each individual port, however i grew impatient looking for the ports i needed to use. Maybe someone can post them? I believe their UDP 5060 and udp 8000. But im unsure. -Deek 3420164 |
Awesome Deek, thats the kind of info we love to hear so we can forward it to other users.
|
Another problem i ran into but this time at home. I am able to log into splitinfinities service with ease, but i have no sound on either end. I cant hear them, they cant hear me. Simple fix
Pass UDP ports 8000-8005 to your machine's IP (set this on your firewall/router etc). X-lite uses UDP 8000-8005 for RTP. |
