![]() Kite Boarding OR Wind Surfing
I am thinking of taking up one of those sports. Which is better ? and why ? Which is easier to learn ? What about equipment ? What brands ? What about wind directions and conditions ? I figured I would take a few lessons first ... but does anyone here do these sports and what can you tell me about them ?

Kite Boarding seems a lot cooler to me with less gear to lug around I don't know much about it though.

kite boarding is way more advanced than wind surfing. I can wind surf well and i dont know the first thing about kite boarding, that shit looks crazy.
Windsurfing is easy to learn and lots of fun. |

i have so much fun going kite boarding, but I definately recommend lessons. I bought the board / kite and just had a friend give me a run down thinking since I can surf it'd be easy, but the mechanics of catching big air and controlling your course are tough and can be pretty physically demanding. *thumbs up*

From what I understand is for Wind Surfing all you need is a steady wind... it does'nt have to be very powerful to windsurf.
Is that the same for Kite Boarding ? Does Kite boarding demand a more powerful wind ? Also what are the best wind conditions ?
