:mad How life can fucking suck sometimes! I lost my baby today.

How the best day of my life turned into my worst in the span of 5 minutes.

We have been trying to have a baby for over a year and it finally happened. We were excited and everything was going great. Today was the appointment where I was supposed to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. They did a sonagram and there was no heartbeat. The baby hasn't developed since her last appointment and the fetal sack was starting to deteriorate. A sign that her body is getting ready to miscarry the baby.

I wanted a child more than anything in this world and I guess it just wasn't my time. My number one goal right now is to comfort her and reassure her that she did not let me down since she knew how excited I was about it.

Life can really fucking suck sometimes! You see poverty stricken kids that don't want children and can't support children have them every day.

DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!!!!!!!!

Oooof. man thats harsh.

Well, take comfort in the fact that the body often ends pregnancies for a reason... keep trying man! At least the process of trying is really really fun!

I can't imagine how that feels... I know I would have been devastated but still, I'm sure the scope of it is way beyond how hard I think it could be.

Sorry to hear man... take care of your woman. It'll happen when it's meant to.

My sincere sympathy. If all goes well, you will have have better luck next time.

In my case, my wife and I were never able to conceive a child, so we make happy with our pets and spoil the hell out of our nieces, nephews and friend's kids.

Rob, that's tragic but more common than you may think. Not that it's frequency is any comfort to you, but know that many others deal with this often and resume life shortly after. This cloud has a silver lining too, it just may take some time to find it. Again sorry to hear that for you.

Sorry to hear. Keep your chin up & think on the positive side.

When my wife & I were trying to have our first, same thing happened & she miscarried at 3 months along. Anyway, she claims that night she had a dream of a little girl, who said to her, "it's ok mommy" & this little girl took a small baby by the hand & flew away (no wings). Anyway, 10 months later, we had a beautiful, healthy, smart baby girl. She is 6 years old now, very beautiful, bright, smart & healthy & I love her more than anything in this world.

Your wifes body is aiming for perfection, once her body know's that it will produce the best, that is when it'll come to fruition.

Some people believe that our souls are out there before we are born. Perhaps your son or daughter has decided that maybe now isnt the right time & is waiting to make some changes so that everything will be perfect.

Hey Rob keep your head up. My wife and I went through that same type of cycle the first time. It was devastating especially for her. Right now comfort your girl and stay positive. Sometimes the timing/factors are just off and the next time around everything will go perfectly. It's no indication of the future. Stay strong man.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My husband and I had the same thing happen to us about 10 years ago and I know how hard it is. I had very bad postpartum depression afterwards because your body still considers it a pregnancy, whether it's 40 weeks or 12. You're a good man staying by your girl...it can be very bad for the mom.

Sorry to hear that, be thankful it happened early on. My friends just lost their baby at birth, can't imagine going 9 months and having that happen. My wife miscarried last year early on like you, but a few months later was able to get pregnant again. We just had a very healthy girl five weeks ago, and the timing was perfect. Just keep trying and don't get discouraged.

Misscarrages happen, a lot, I stopped counting long ago, but I once has to pull one out of the toilet because the hospital wanted to find out what went wrong, once had twins come up on a sonogram. gone.

If that was the first, there was probably something really wrong with the baby, if it happens over and over, her body isnt ready for one yet.

Sooner or later it'll happen, I got a 7 year old in her room playing teacher with a bunch of stuffed animals right now, and there was a SHITLOAD of miscarriages before that.

Wow.....

Rob...only time can heal the wound. I lost my girlfriend of 2 years...the person I wanted to marry. And to be perfectly honest with you...it's been a year and 2 months and I still think about her on a daily basis.

It's never going to be "ok" but it will get better. Rest assured. You will become a stronger person because of the loss of your baby.

My condolences...
