Anyway to get 1000 google uniques in a day is a good achievement, keep up the good work! :thumbsup

haha so true

You're an idiot who didn't understand my post nor knows anything of my business.

What steps did _YOU_ take to boost your income to the $300/day range? My traffic is small and niched but it works, clearly. Growing traffic could get me to a steady 100/day and I plan to launch another site later this month.. But I'm wondering about what paths you took.

:warning This thread doesn't apply to program owners or up sellers only straight affiliate marketers... Although your wisdom is always appreciated.

Not straight but the lessons we have used are the same. We have been very very picky over the years about who's sites and products we promote from our free sites.

Generally we operate on instict, that a particular site, it's name, content, over all image, etc are good. Then we promote. If it grows we divert attention away from those that dont and really promote. If it grows more we promote to the point that it looks like the site might even be our own. This method has worked for us to build a free site from scratch 3 years ago and make it make significantly more than 300 a day, and only one person works on that site.

Joe D is flattering to me but is also correct about the shows. Get to know some of those people he refers to who represent great products and know people who know people.

Keep working hard and try to work on niches that not everyone else is doing.

so did you manage to get to $200-300/day yet?

David you are a wise guy. Every reply in this thread has been a good one. And that is exactly what I've been doing, lol. I do all my own traffic building (I will never buy traffic), I do my own designing and I do my own programming (I've been a freelance web and software developer for 7 years). So, literally my only investment is hosting and the domain name, lol.

Your Time is also your investment. You have an hourly value for that time. If you can have redundant tasks handled by someone who costs you less than that per hour, that with your supervision and oversight could give you that extra pair of hands, you could then be freed up to do things that generate more revenue.

I did not read the whole thread but here is my 2 cents. Pick 1 thing and master it. Whether it be submitting, running a tgp, building SE traffic or whatever it is. Once you have mastered it and are comfortable with it pick a 2nd thing and master it.

Starting out if you try to do 50 things you will do ok at a few and more than likely fail at the rest as you will only have a basic knowledge of 50 things. Being great at a few things is 100 times better than be ok at a lot of things and will make you more money.

Most importantly - If you LOVE what you do you will be SUCCESSFUL at it! So don't spend time on something you don't like to do.

traffic.

you have small and niched. the problem is SMALL
work on it, pay for it, try to get it for free - traffic is the key

niched - is not a problem if you can be #1-#3 in your niche you will get good part of the cake

and dont think about just $300 this about how you can grow, its just a game
and we should know the rules.

my advice - blogs and SE traffic.

I don't know what niche are you in and I hope you like it because it helps when you like what you do

my 2 pennies

To answer the question....

You reinvent yourself...

When I got started I was a submitter...

Then a TGP owner...

Then I posted to newsgroups...

Then I did some other spammish stuff... (namely spamming).

Then I did free sites...

Then I did blogs...

Then I did MGP's...

Then I did SEO...

Then I started looking into how people actually get traffic in large amounts and I learned how to incorporate some of their techniques into my own game plan and refine them...

But basically I reinvented myself multiple times...

Very few people, and thoses who are doing aren't posting galleries on than.

I'm taking 300 a day because of the topic. 300 a day is midly EASILY doable in this business with some work and good business sense. For 50 000 a day you need to be a fucking genious

Your posts are all valuable in this thread & i agree with you with many points, however when you said industry, You only count TGPS, Blogs, Gallery submitters etc. You don't care program owners, trafficshops, content shooters and other money makers in this industry, like Phone Sex, Dialers, pbp, ppc & many of them wich i don't know much, so my opinion is never think this biz has limited on one way.

INTERNET is a very big ocean and we webmasters are captains, we keep driving our boat through to where the fish is :)

Peace.

select sticky sponsors, and blog about them as if you really really into their models.

might only work if you really are a total fetishist :)
