What about this one:

Top criminials, can get guns, and they kill eachother so now and then when a deal goes wrong.

If everyone woulod be able to buy a gun, more ppl would be killed FOR SURE.

Example: Sometimes I get really really mad, what I do now is I punch him, and walk away. When I would have a gun, I MIGHT freak out and use it...Get the point now?

Hey man.. it's Holland we live in. You can get a gun at every corner of the street. Don't have to be a topcriminal for that..

Exactly... I know somebody that would have been likely to kill somebody if he owned a gun...

You pretty much have to be a criminal for it though, and you'll need some sort of criminal connections. You'd be surprised at the amount of people in this country who do not engage in illegal weapons sales.

Bullshit You'd be surprised how many people own a gun here.
Just got to the nearest coffeeshop, pay $ 1k and walk out with a gun. That simple.

Hawaii is sooooo not depressing compared to NYC dude. I really love it out of all the tropical places. I hope to have a crib in Kona someday overlooking those hypnotic bodies of water and the millions of stars. Swoon.

Has it occurred to you that it wouldn't even occur to the majority of the population to go to a coffeeshop with $1k in cash to buy a gun?

ANYTHING can be obtained for the right price. Anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves. Franck knows this, he just likes to argue about it, which is fine, because I do too. Plus I like being right. :winkwink:

And that's exactly the point. The fact that guns are (mostly) illegal and that buying one requires someone to go to some shady coffee shop with a handful of cash to give to some shady arab is enough to put most people off the idea of buying them.

Actually, I'm not a criminal, and thus have very little idea of how one would go about buying illegal weapons to post pics of on message boards. If not engaging in crimes which could land me in prison makes me a tool, so be it.

Me, I like it here on the non-Tokkie side of society.

All respect. Bought the gun for something completely else. However, that's not the issue. I respect the fact you say you have little idea how to obtain a weapon here. I just wanted to say it's easier than you think. No Tokkie stuff..your neighbour could be selling them.

You could be right about Willem van Boxtel, but since Holleeder is good friends with mr.Jocic, and some other things I've heard, I think he is playing a different role in this story........

I guess thats what you call self control. With a permit to carry a concealed pistol, you need to flex your self control, not your rage. And if comes down to it, break his face with your hand, let him wake up in the morning, look in the mirror and remember not to slip up again. Some people don't deserve to be put down so quick.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to know beforehand if people will or will not have enough self control to deal with stressful situations.

thats why it's not easy to get a concealed carry permit ;). which is also the reason why I'm waiting patiently for mine to arrive. :)

Idiot, i know someone who got raided very recently for something i consider less harmful than a pistol and yes they monitored him on gfy.

Once again you have no clue what youre talking about.

Thats one thing they don't understand, which is why they're so quick to blame all violent crime on guns in general, as opposed to legal guns versus those obtained/kept illegally. Its a lot like pornographers and those who produce CP, one is a legitimate production done by law abiding producers and the other is illegal done by some fucked up vigilante.

You dont seem to understand what people are saying. Must be because of the all the pot you are smoking.

And btw, what pistol "homie"? I dont have a pistol.

... good post actually. i for one have a ccw permit, all my guns are in my name, and they will never be used to commit a crime by me....( and yes they are kept in a safe when not with me, so no, they wont be stolen and sold to bad guys.) i agree that owning guns also means being responsible with them and FOR them, meaning it is your responsibility to keep them from the wrong hands. but to generally state that guns are all bad is an ignorant statement.

Finally someone gets it. Europeans are generally smart, I don't know why they can't grasp this concept.

...too true, unfortunately there will always be people who have guns that are either criminals or just too damn dumb to have them, and in every country as well... even those countries where people "think" there arent any guns.

... i for one like the shooting sports... and due to the fact that i KNOW that there will always be criminals toting guns and looking for victims (no matter what country)... (just look at austrailia)... i will refuse to be a willing victim... i will always be able to defend my family and myself.

... true the world would be safer without guns altogether, but that isnt a reality that exists... the reality that DOES exist is that there are guns, bad poeple will obtain them somehow, and that as a human living in such a situation, it is up to you whether or not you are willing to be a victim...

...and no, i will never commit suicide, shoot my spouse or a loved one, allow my guns to be in the hands of anyone other than me (unless supervised by me)... or use them in the commission of a crime...

... i am what the anti gunners hate most.... a law abiding sensible reasonable person who owns guns...

... oh, and btw, if you have ever had anyone stick a gun in your face, and start asking his homeboys if he should shoot you, then you would understand that it is better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

Dirty F 11-11-2005 04:36 PM

Funny, EVERY fucking gun owner i speak is a "responsible" gun owner. Every single one of them...

All those accidents must be fables then.

Dirty F 11-11-2005 04:44 PM

Every hour in America, four people are killed by firearms. (Centers for Disease Control)

A gun in your home makes it three times more likely that you or someone you care about will be murdered by a family member or intimate partner (Kellerman,New England Journal of Medicine v329, n.15 1993)

Gun violence is the second-leading cause of injury-related fatalities in the US after car accidents. In Alaska, Maryland and Nevada as well as D.C., firearm death rates in 1998 exceeded those for car accidents. (CDC & Natnl. Vital Statistics Report, 1999)

One million Americans have died in firearm homicides, suicides, and unintentional shootings since 1962. (Fatal Firearm Injuries in the United States 1962-1994. Violence Surveillance Summary Series, No. 3, 1997; Deaths: Final Data for 1995- 1997, National Vital Statistics Report)

In 1997, for every time that a civilian used a handgun to kill in self-defense, 43 people lost their lives in handgun homicides. (FBI Supplementary Homicide Report data, 1997)

In 30% of handgun-owning households, the gun was stored unlocked and loaded at the time of the survey.

28% of gun-owning households with children do not always keep guns locked in a secure place.

The greatest number of firearm-related accidental deaths occurs in the 15-19 age group; from 1994-1997, 1,634 children died this way.

Look, these are ALL responsible gun owners like all the gun owners on this board.

Funny world we live in.

i say give em guns!

http://www2.rnw.nl/rnw/en/currentaff...nds011218.html

The number of Dutch children working in prostitution has increased dramatically over the past five years: from 4,000 to 15,000 according to figures published by the Amsterdam-based ChildRight organization. Dutch police says the numbers are much lower, but acknowledges there is a big problem.

if they let em have guns maybe theyd leave the kids alone!
